I couldn't be the girl that I was days before. The second that I knew what Darren did, I feared him more than ever before. I could no longer have a joke with him because I was afraid that he would kill me on the spot if I was to answer him back. He had the power and more girls than I could count. He would force me to go to the warehouse with him everyday. I dreaded it more than ever. I was given the job to inject all of the girls, give them medication, clean their rooms and clean their beds with fresh sheets ready for the day ahead. I entered each room and I could feel how frightened they were just by looking at the sheets. Due to them being white, I could see the blood stains. Visions of their day would pop inside my head and play before my eyes. Screaming, fighting for freedom, lost souls searching for an escape. I entered the next room after cleaning up the one before it. I could smell blood, sweat and tears as I stepped inside slowly with my trolley. Taking my mop bucket off the top, I ringed it out and looked around before closing my eyes. A pool of blood on the floor, splatters up the wall and scratches on the metal frame. I knew that the girl was fighting against the client, he got rough with her and punched her over and over again. She would have fallen unconscious and then he would have-. I couldn't finish off that sentence. I walked over to the bed and grabbed the white sheet as tears rolled down my cheeks. The blood was making me feel sick. It had covered the mattress. I rolled it up and threw it down on the floor. I was beyond angry, I wanted to rip his head off and crack his skull. Men like him don't deserve to live I thought as I flipped the mattress over. I wondered how him or any other man could treat a woman the way that they did.

I cleaned the room and made my way downstairs closing the door behind me. A man walked towards me and breathed in my scent.

"Well, hello there." I felt uncomfortable. He was a client. All of Darren's clients were weird and always wanted me. They would ask but Darren would tell them no. I wondered when the day would arrive. I just didn't know. I did hope that I would be able to escape but who would help me.

Only myself.
