It was a lucky escape. How did I get away? I didn't know but there were men everywhere. How did I sneak past them? Same answer. I had no clue. I remember approaching my mum's front door and knocking on it. I was relieved and felt safe. She didn't open the door, so I jumped over the back gate and entered through the back door. It was always open which I was thankful for. My mum was comatose on the couch when I entered but I continued up the stairs, washed myself, changed into fresh bed clothes and fell asleep in my comfortable bed. I was finally free from a psychopath. I laid on my old bed remembering the good times with my friends when they would sleep over. I was surprised that my mum had kept all of my old items inside the room that no longer served a purpose. I put it down to her missing me when she was sober, if that was ever.

I remember walking down the stairs the next day after a really good sleep. I was one of the lucky ones who managed to escape. My plan was to go to the police later on that day to report him and what I went through. I knew that I should have gone straight there but all I wanted was my bed. I entered the living room at the back of the house and my mum wafted her hand. She didn't care that I had been missing and I found out that she didn't report me as a missing person. I felt unwanted in that moment. She didn't care about her own daughter who had been through hell. The only thing she could reach for was her alcohol addiction. She did ask me where I had been. I told her that I was kidnapped by a crazy man who wanted to make my life a misery. She continued to tell me that I was a liar who should be kidnapped and killed for my bullshit lies. I was horrified by her response. Who says that to their own child? Mine did. I wanted to cry but the sad truth was that my mum didn't care. I knew that I wouldn't have my home to go to anymore because the rent hadn't been paid for over two months. It would be empty. I shook my head and made my way back upstairs to find him sitting on my bed. My stomach tightened up as I stared into the eyes of a boy who I feared more than anyone. All I could do in my situation was cry because I knew that the house was surrounded. I had no back-up; I knew that my friends didn't report me missing and the one person who showed me any attention was the boy who I wanted to be away from the most.

"Your mother let me in. Not that she cares does she really."

He shrugged his shoulders and lay back on my bed. It was an easy escape so I should have expected it. Still, I didn't expect him to be upstairs in the room where I should have felt safe. I just stood there lost for words. I was trying to figure out a way to escape him but there wasn't a single way that I could. I didn't have a phone; the house was surrounded, and this boy knew what I would do before I would do it.

"Even if you wanted to go to the police, you wouldn't have made it there. Did you have a nice sleep? I did in the car out front. How was it? Did your memories come back?"

He was asking me questions and I stood there not saying a word. I started to shake because I was petrified and couldn't see where my life would go. It didn't look like a positive place from where I was standing. He pushed himself to stand up and walked towards me slowly. I dropped my head down to face the floorboards. If I ran, then I would have been caught once I left through the front door. I wasn't stupid.

"Nice clothes."

I closed my eyes as I cried out loud not that my mum would have helped me. One back hand across my left cheek made me fall to the floor. I felt it briefly before I was out cold. He had hit me which was an instant knock out. All that I could see when my vision turned dark was his haunting eyes. I was no match for the boy who wanted me in his possession. I knew in that moment that my mum did not give two fucks about me. I was alone in a dark world called hell and when I woke up, I was in a completely different house which I didn't recognize it.

I was laying on top of dark blue duvet covers. This time I could see the light streaming in through the windows. The room was bright as I blinked my eyes open to find Darren sitting next to me.

"Nice bruise you have there. So how was your conversation with your mother?"

I rolled onto my side not in the mood for any conversation. He jumped up and dived on top of me grabbing my arms and placing them down my sides as he straddled me. I screamed and cried my eyes out. I couldn't go through it all again but there I was trapped. Trapped by him and stuck with him. I wanted to be free, but I couldn't get away from him.

"Why don't you just kill me now!"

I screamed at the top of my lungs. He moved his face closer to mine and growled.

"Because you are my property. Mine to do with as I please. I don't want you dead so I'm not going to do that because you want me to."

"I don't want to be stuck with you. Let me fuck go! My mum doesn't care about me and neither do you! That's fucking obvious."

"Oh, my oh my. She finally bites back." He laughed and I snarled. I was done with playing his games.

"Yes, because I'm sick to death of being walked all over because it makes others happy. You included! Leave me the fuck alone Darren. Even if that is your name. I'm done with being your toy! Go and find another one because this bitch isn't listening no more."

Slapping me across the face he laughed until he moved his face closer to mine and I latched my teeth on his nose as I cried happy tears of joy. I was in attack mode. My mind went crazy for a couple of seconds until I let go and stared up at him through pissed off eyes.

"Finally. Halle fucking lujah!"

Touching my lip, he smirked before tapping it smirking. Again. Unpredictable.

"If you fucking speak to me or touch me like that again I will place a bullet in your skull. Don't think that I won't."

With his warning he pointed two fingers at my head and said bang before getting up and walking out of the room.
