Thought of the day

Hi, I am harry. I am a bit slothy for now because I just woke up from a deep sleep. It takes me time to wake up completely and I feel irritated for a while (well I feel irritated all the time but...whatever). I am going back to school after 3 years now. Yups! we finally defeated the pandemic. Didn't you hear the president's speech last night?

Everything is opening from today. It's like a new beginning. I also have to present the thought of the day today in the morning assembly. probably the principal sir will also give a speech today.

Harryyy!!(loud voice from the living room)

Oh! That's my mom.

Honey! did you forget you have school today.

Yups I am already ready. Mommy!

To be honest, I am not excited to go to school today. Things have changed now. In my family, In my body, I was in my first teenage year back then but now I have learned somehow to manage this merciless teenage. I am sure people not gonna acknowledge this change and treat me as if I am that wild kid who newly discovered teenage. And does all that crazy stuff his hormones make him do

Harry are you coming downstairs or shall I send your dad up there. (voice became louder)

Oh no! here she forgets again,

Mom dad isn't... leave it I am not gonna correct her, she will again get distracted and sad then forget to pack my lunch.

The school bus arrives.......

I am not gonna go to the last seat from now it's a pretty crazy environment up there. Also, I am not in the mood of answering questions and I am sure they definitely got some for me though. I took a single-window seat on the bus. I could see they were expecting me to sit with them but...3 years dude! I even forgot the name of a few of them.

We arrive at the school.

In morning assembly

Good morning all of you my name is harry browns and today's thought of the day is "the magic of beginning starts with forgetting the past."

The thought of the day went pretty awful because nobody was even able to comprehend this one. It's quite simple though it means you should forget every bad thing about the past and have a fresh start.

Annnddd.......

 then.....

 Mrs. Morgan's period came, the least awaited period at least for me. She was too judgmental for everybody and being a social science teacher, she should have moderate opinions about everything but she always impose her opinions on everyone. Mrs. Morgan was late and I had no idea why trust me! I didn't do anything. I know what you are thinking but no I would never kill my teacher. Ok, my bad I don't think you were thinking that I just exaggerated a lot. 

In the classroom

Harry browns? {girlish voice from just behind my seat}

I turned backed and it was the new admission girl,

which period is this and why is the teacher late?

I replied I have no idea why. Why would you even choose me to ask this question?

Yaa yaa I know I could have been more polite but the topic of the conversation with her was already provocative it wasn't her fault though. I should probably say sorry to her.

Harry turns back and sees molly is already talking to her. molly explained her about Mrs. Morgan

Why can't they slander slowly about me? I can easily hear them

Molly: don't you know Mrs. Morgan left the school.

That girl: oh really but why?

Molly: because of harry, she believed harry could have a bad influence on her and she was just recently married she didn't her marriage to break off because of harry.

That girl: why would she even think that?

Molly: that's because harry made his parents separate. He exaggerated a small issue in the family and his poor parents fell into that trap and argued for days eventually decided to divorce. I think he could have helped. even my grandma live with us. i help my parents with the chores too

Wait, Mrs. Morgan left the school because of me and this was the reason. I should definitely ask the principal sir about this

*In principal office*

On my way to the principal office, the receptionist told me about the thought of the day and how she liked it so much because that was the best day to start school with.

Sir why would you let the teacher leave a job just because of a mere student. I was already considering shifting to homeschooling instead.

Principal sir: I remember when the schools were closing before the pandemic and you told me your grandma was shifting with your family now. I told you to be a responsible kid from now but I knew that in your very first year of teenage it's too much to ask for from you. But you don't have to blame yourself for everything.

Principal sir: son, haven't you heard my speech today? There I told the students about my divorce. I just had the same reason for my divorce which your parents had. My mother was a big load on my wife. She was also a working woman just like your mom the chores were already too much for her but then bringing my mom back to the house wasn't a good idea but leaving her alone wasn't a good idea either. So we decided to get parted away. And wasn't it you in today's morning assembly who presented the thought of the day as "don't let the fear of change stop you from making decisions. You just have to be responsible for your decisions."

Harry: wasn't that the quote I said on the day before schools were closed?

Principal sir: exactly my son and that's where I send you.....

Harry: sir...

The bell rang...

Principal sir: Your free period is over now I think you should go back to your class. Harry

Harry heads back to the class and sits on his seat with utter confusion about what just happened in the principal office. Molly approaches him and says,

Hey, harry! I just heard your grandma is also shifting with your family. Experience speaking, you'll now have a bit of extra work to do. So, all the best. I'll talk to you on the bus after school.

 Oh, maybe not I heard your mom has come to take you early today. You should go. She is at the reception. you lucky fellow! going exactly in the period of Mrs. Morgan, her period is always so boring.

Harry goes to the reception and sees his mom waiting for him. As soon as he sees her and his father he runs toward them and gives a tight hug to both of them. They came early to pick because they were heading to Seattle to bring his grandma home. He sees his school's principal from the windows of the car. He smiles and mouths "thank you".
