The Whispers

An exclaiming voice surrounded the house, while everyone was silent. Other whispers and voices were heard to the two girls Eliza and Starlet who were in their own rooms doing their chores, not trying to make any noise, they hated it.

While doing the chores they heard different voices coming from nowhere every single minute. They waited for another voice to approach their ears and when they heard it, they listened carefully, realising it was coming from their basement which wasn't opened for a decade since Eliza was born.

Starlet was three years elder than Eliza making her thirteen years old. They heard one more whisper when Eliza had enough and rushed into Starlet's room making her feel secure. Every single minute they heard something or the other. They were left home alone because their parents had gone for a business trip, leaving their two daughters all alone.

They heard one more whisper kind of voice and a loud bang, this time also realising that the voices matched to their dead grandma's voice, which was recognisable, more of a grumpy and old voice, which made them doubt that it was their grandma.

"Wait, but...", proclaimed Starlet with a long pause," Is that grandma?!"

"But how can this be? She died when we were little!" Eliza answered back immediately.

They were horrified thinking that there was some ghost of their grandma trying to get out of the closed basement. Starlet admitted that she remembered that their grandma's ashes were then kept in their basement because the family wanted some memory of her to be left in the house.

"So you are trying to say that grandma's ashes still have the ghost of her?!" asked Eliza.

" I-I think so..." answered Starlet with a crumbled voice.

Starlet trying to be the brave one, slammed the door open of her room and ran downstairs in front of the basement door, so she could hear the voices and whispers clearly, while there was a big scream coming from upstairs where Eliza was. Then Eliza explained that she was shivering and so scared that when the wind blew into the room it was cold and she screamed about it.

Starlet then again headed towards the basement door when she heard the voices, but even clearer and louder than before. She opened the door slowly and gradually thinking that she will wake up the ghost in the basement and when she opened her closed eyes there was a radio placed on the table, during that time Eliza came running down the stairs to accompany Starlet.

The radio looked old and dusty and they read the title of what it was currently playing. It played something called "Wizards of Waverly place starring Selena Gomez" which coincidentally, the two girls thought it was their grandma. But now the real question is, who turned the radio on? And why did the voice of Selena Gomez sound like their grandma?
