The Mobile Pandemic

"I want more points, common, my king!" Pari seemed to have been engrossed in her mobile playing a game.

"Why do you spend so much time on that addictive gadget? It's time for you to do your homework," her mother said.

"I will do it later, Mom! I am on the verge of accumulating a thousand points now."

"These mobile phones will one day become a source of destruction. Only then you guys will leave it behind," her mother predicted.

"I would rather swim in that destruction pool but I would never bid adieu to my sweet phone," Pari said.

What struck her next was unprecedented hitherto never seen before. An electric current from her phone penetrated through her body rendering her heart functionless. She fell thud on the floor with the mobile phone looking at her with a grin. When her mother rushed to the room, she was taken aback by what had happened to her daughter. Her prediction had materialized and her daughter was the first victim. She squatted beside her making a futile attempt to wake her up. But the moment she came in contact with her daughter, the relentless electric current which still seemed to be active passed through her body to target her vital organ heart. The aftermath of the family's death gave rise to a new phenomenon named the Mobile pandemic. The widely used smartphone has now become a murderer targeting people at their leisure. Whosoever came in contact with the mobile died immediately and the others who tried to touch the dead person received the same treatment.

The mobile pandemic had come as a surprise to the world since no one believed phones can kill human beings. Things took a wild turn when many started losing their lives unaware of the pandemic situation. The government then proclaimed that people should stay away from mobile phones or else they will meet with a fatal blow. Before the world could recuperate from the torture of Covid there was another pandemic which rubbed salts to their wounds. Many relied on mobile phones for communication and now the situation has become dire. The parents had a hard time keeping their children away from their phones. Some of them prayed to God to bring the world which was on the brink of destruction back to normalcy. Anxiety skyrocketed whenever the phone rang. 

The pandemic was a slap on the faces of mobile addicts. They had been using mobile phones for a long time every day and now to stay away from phones was not only challenging but also an impossible task. They were now prone to frequent mood swings which had a terrible effect on their mental health. Some of them couldn't control their urge to use mobile phones and they scrambled to pick up phones only to die on the spot. They were indeed susceptible to frequent mood swings. What was happening to the world? Is covid working in cahoots with mobiles to destroy on a large scale? Or is it the warning hurled by the nature not to get addicted to phones? No one had answers to the onslaught of questions that refused to subside. No one had any idea to sabotage the ugly plan of phones which were on a killing spree. The entire world was on a brink of elimination thanks to the raging pandemic. 

Some of them went berserk as they picked up their guns and fired bullets at their mobile phones. Some others couldn't digest the demise of their near and dear ones who fell prey to the game played by mobiles. The scientists were now faced with the challenge to discern the root cause of the pandemic which was wreaking havoc on the entire world. Criminals found a new way to kill people by hurling mobile phones at them. The pandemic reportedly destroyed 10 crore people all over the world. The economy of many countries went for a toss, beyond recovery. The impending doom was real. 

Mobile companies suffered irreparable losses due to the pandemic. Some of them could not feed their tummy owing to business loss and they deliberately came in contact with their phones to bid adieu to a world filled with problems. The suicide rate exponentially increased and some sort of gloom hung around the world. One guy clambered up the tree and sat on the branch of a tree. He looked extremely anxious unable to bear the devastating impacts of the pandemic. He plucked delicious fruits hanging beside and munched on them. It was a much-needed respite from the crazy world that manufactured perils to destroy people.

"Wow! I would rather die here munching on these delicious products rather than being electrocuted by those smart shits."

Mobile phones fell like rain upon him quickly rendering him motionless. The same people who were obsessed with mobiles were now disposing of them.

Eventually, the scientists came up with a behemoth electric robot. A lot of technologies were used to design this robot that could absorb the electric current from the mobile phones to make them ineffective. The entire world was reeling under this demon pandemic and there was a lot of hype about this robot. It was now time to test the robot to save mankind from the catastrophic effects of mobile phones. Everyone waited with bated breath and offered prayers to God for the successful test of the electric robot. The electric robot was first tested in India where it was able to absorb the electric power of mobile phones. People were on cloud nine as the scientists leveraged this robot to avert the disaster manufactured by the phones. Even other countries begged India for the supply of this electric robot which could have their people as well. As always, Indians are magnanimous people and they addressed the global problem by allowing the electric robot to travel to all countries. All mobile phones were now ineffective and did not trouble anyone. All costly mobiles that once used to wallow in the comfort of beds are now lying useless in bins. A new world without mobile phones emerged.
