Do you know what is friendship?

It is a priceless magical bond between two souls. It is special relationship that is selfless, comforting and unconditional. Friends are more like family who gladly help us to grow and the ones we can do crazy things with. It is a heart to heart connection shared by lucky few. A man without friends is like a library without books.

If you want me to explain more about it then please don’t stop reading. I will explain as well as tell you something about my past. So are you ready for some flash back. Come on let’s go!

When I was small and in nursery I was a quiet, shy boy who would only listen to the Teacher and follow whatever she said. I was good and intelligent but my parents and teachers had one concern. I used to spend my break in the class as I didn’t like to play with anyone. My teachers and my parents thought I needed friends. I used to think that my family is my world and used to play and celebrate all festivals only with them. So my teacher decided to introduce me to Viraj and Jainitya. First I was shy and scared but then I started to have fun with them. I made new friends and enjoyed with them. My pre-primary life passed and then came the time when the classes were changed.

I entered the school as new shy scared boy but then made new friends but still remained scared. Now I thought school and family were my world. Then came the time for me to shift to my new building. There I saw many new kids and I was as shy as a new born rabbit. My mother insisted me to play and introduced me to some kids playing there. I started playing with them but still I remained a frightened boy.

Then one day I saw Lionel Messi play on TV. It was fabulous to watch him playing. I thought football was not my cup of tea. One day I saw Sachin Tendulkar bat and he was just out of the world. Seeing them motivated me to break the ice with other kids. I started playing with them but still remained a weak link.

Then finally the judgement day arrived. Should I go to ICSE board or remain in SSC board. I was sad as I was being separated from my old friends but now I know that it was a very good decision. Now coming back to the situation. When I entered the new class I thought I was the only Green Mango among all the yellow ones but I was wrong some knew each other and some didn’t. I made friends fast and then I was not the new guy anymore. Today I can make friends easily and have fun with them. People say that we go to school only to study but I also go to School to have fun with my friends.

Now let’s return to my building. Srujan was the new captain of our team as Raj (the earlier captain) was leaving the building. After Srujan becoming the captain games like Cricket and Football had reached a new height. I tried very hard to be equal to my friend’s level but they always got better. When I was in fifth I had just recovered from my hand fracture and played the final of Omkar Premier League 3 (OPL3). I scored 19 runs while playing deadly bowlers like Soham and Arun. We lost but my nose was in the air as my captain praised me. I also played Chikuwadi Premier League (CPL) under legends like Soham, Srujan, Adit and Samar. In 2016 there was a new rule that there would be two divisions Under 12 and Under 15. There would be test and T20 matches for each of the groups and the Champions league would be the only league were both the groups can play together. I was crowned as the under 12 captain. Since then I played like a ferocious Tiger and became CPL under 12 third best batsmen, fifth best bowler, best all rounder and second best captain. My team won under 12 CPL. After that I played OPL 4 in which I scored 129 runs, and took 4 wickets in 12 matches. Then I played Football premier league (FPL) and was crowned as Omkar’s’s best defender.

You won’t believe it but now I am a swagging attitude-full brave boy. I have transformed completely and the credit of this goes to my Teachers, my parents and my friends. Now I have many good friends and I am in the top three best friends of each child in the class. My best friends Dev and Meet are the world’s best friends a person could have. I had dreamt of becoming a good player and here I am Omkar’s best defender and a good former under 12 captain. I know I cannot be Lionel Messi or Rohit Sharma but I have learnt to get happiness in small things too. A person is never the best he has to always try to get better and so I will keep on trying to get better each day with the help of my friends.

So now I can say that the quotes given on Friendship by some great people are true.

David Tyson quoted- “True Friendship comes when the silence between two people is comfortable”

Aristotle quoted- “What is a friend? A single soul dwelling in two bodies”

Charles Robert Darwi quoted- “A man’s friendships are one of the best measures of his worth”

Abraham Lincoln quoted-“The best way to destroy an enemy is to make him a friend.”
