A long time ago, love wasn’t considered for anyone. Every person was born with a mark, a sign that only one person other than you shared. It was situated on the upper, arm visible to all. It was a pleasure to find your true soulmate but some weren’t going to follow orders so easily especially those who fell in love. Loving a person who shares the same mark as you are a fascinating experience but one who is destined to be with someone else was plain torture. Those who dared to revolt against the significance of this tradition were executed without a question. This was the usual routine until.....one day a woman went to see the future of her child, going to be born in coming week. The fortune-teller had a shock on his face as he told the going to be the mother that the child would change the future and make a History! The following day she gave birth to a boy named Nai. In his young years, he was a smart child and he was obedient. He grew up to be helpful and mischievous. He had a friend named Kiara whom he was the best friend with since both of them were five. In the process of growing up, but both fell in love with each other but had different signs. He confessed his love to Kiara and she did the same. Nai told his mother who was giving him the freedom to do whatever he wanted and she accepted her daughter-in-law without hesitation. The problem was to convince Kiara’s parents especially her father, who was a staunch believer in marks tradition. When Nai and Kiara approached her parents. At first, he welcomed Nai as he was a regular visitor but when they brought up the topic of marks her father started shouting and called the executors. Nai had written a letter to her mother saying that he would return with her daughter-in-law very soon and threw it into his house as he made a getaway. Before running, Kiara shouted the words “ I hate you” at her parents, held Nai’s hand and ran for their lives.

They ran faster than they could. He knew that this would happen but how long would they hide their love? They stopped after they were out of the village and into the forest. As soon as they stopped Kiara started sobbing. Neither of them was prepared for this. Nai sat down and held Kiara, trying to calm her down. They had to leave the forest as soon as they could because the first place the executors would try would be there. They both moved slowly and steadily, both of them scared but trying to hide it. They were at the end of the forest as the night spread. No person had ever the courage to out of the forest boundaries. The people who did never came back like.......Nai’s father. Some say it is the end of the planet and you will fall for entire eternity say you will go to heaven. Both of them scared, move out. They walked a few steps but were knocked out. When they woke up the sun was shining brightly through the leaves of the tree. They were asleep under. Their eyes squinted as a splash of cold water fell on them. “Rise and shine guys!” It was a man who looked in his mid 30’s. His eyes were green like Nai’s and his complexion was dark brown. He had a beard and his hair was jet black. Kiara and Nai both looked at each other, exchanging looks and swore they had seen this man before. They asked his name, he replied, Micheal. This name rang in Nai’s head until it struck him. Flashes of memories went through his minds. He took his first step with Micheal laughing and encouraging him......he pronounced dad as Micheal clapped.....he said bye to Micheal, tears welling up in his eyes and his father left for the place outside the boundaries of the forest.
