The Little Boy

In the fateful hour of 1 am at midnight, heart-wrenching cries were the only sounds that were heard from the boy's room, maybe because the lonely boy couldn't contain his sorrow anymore, He cried as he remembered his dead mother, his heart bled as he thought of his father who left his mom when he was only 1 year old and he cried for the innocence of childhood that has been taken away from him. He was just 13, merely a small child. They say the world is a cruel place and it has been proven true for the boy. His uncle who has been tending to him has sent him out of his home claiming that he was the cause of family problems, and the boy had no other choice but to leave the house that he was not even able to call 'home', thinking it was all his bad luck, various kind of thoughts surrounded the boy's mind, he did not really wish for anything great In life, he wanted his mother back, he has been craving for his mother's love, the love that he was deprived of since he was 2 years old when she died due to health disease, his mother's brother who had taken him under his wing died recently and he was shifted to his uncle who had thrown him out of the house after 'bearing', as he claimed, for 2 years.

His cries couldn't be suppressed as he remembered how many students in his school had loving mom's and how they were lucky enough to feel the warmth and love of a mother. He did not want sympathy, he began to think that he had no one in this world who would care truly for him, he had a friend who was his best friend from childhood, who shared many struggles with him which were a part and parcel of his life but still, there was a void that was undeniably empty in his heart maybe because of the harsh childhood he spent, 'will I be able to feel happy for once in my life?' 'Will I be able to feel contented without having to think about death every day?' He wanted to reach out for his mom, he wanted to die and find his mom and hug her and find solace, but he resisted those thoughts, for he too don't know the reason, with all these troubled thoughts enough to occupy his mind, the little boy fell asleep, into a state of restless sleep which was the only thing that he could do to escape the reality. What would happen to him? The stars outside the window shined brightly and wind calmed as it blew over the boy through the window, the stars looked upon him as life had a better plan for him and they twinkled brightly. Maybe, just maybe his mother was also one of those stars watching him afar. By the morning the rose bud would also have to overcome the thorns to bloom into a flower and just as that, nature went silent for to bless the little boy.
