The last message at 2 AM

I was alone in my hostel room. The clock showed 2 AM. I was reading a scary story on my phone.

Suddenly my phone buzzed. A message came from an unknown number. It said, "Don't look behind."

I froze. My room was silent. I slowly looked behind. No one was there. I laughed and typed, "Who is this?"

The next message came instantly, "I said don't look behind. Now he is standing right behind your chair."

My hands started shaking. I could feel cold air on my neck. I wanted to scream but my voice stopped. I slowly turned my phone camera to selfie mode to see behind me.

In the camera, I saw a black shadow standing just behind my chair, with red eyes staring at me.

I threw my phone and ran out of the room. The warden came and checked my room. There was no one.

Then the warden showed me my phone. The last message on my phone was not from an unknown number. It was sent from my own number.

I had sent those messages to myself while I was sleeping.
