Life is a canvas where every individual is an artist drawing their life with color of joy, love, pinch of humor and a splash of sorrow. Some pictures and glimpses of memories always brings spark of smile in our face. One year down the memory lane, after passing out from college I was very tensed because of not getting any news of joining in TCS. If there is nights of sorrow in life, then there will be surely days of happiness waiting for you to hug with its’ warmth. After continuous disappointment, one day the most desired thing of my life at that point called ‘Joining Letter’ came which changed my entire life completely. Being a small town girl and single child of parents, I never thought of going out from home. Truly speaking, I became a little nervous after getting call from TCS all the way to Trivandrum, Kerala- God’s own country which was thousands of kilometer away from my home.

Finally the day arrived for starting my journey. I had my train at 11pm. My father is a kind of person who always go to station minimum three to four hours before departure time to catch any train. But at that day, despite of starting early, our car was stuck in traffic jam. After requesting traffic police officer, We reached station somehow when train started to give whistle. I along with my parents ran like athletes of the Olympics and was successful in catching train. Finally my journey started with adventure and thrill. I was thinking in mind that what will be waiting for me in Trivandrum.

Trivandrum is a place of dream and beauty where dream meets nature and nature is the queen of mesmerisation and wonder that catches every eye in search of beauty, in desire of discovery. In Trivandrum, I went to Kovalam beach where light house is evidence of history. Waves of sea kissed my feet and welcomed me to God’s own country. I also visited Ponmudi hills where mountain and nature was wearing a green muffler. The most awaited trip was to Kanyakumari where spirituality resides in lap of nature, where the Sun bows to Swami Vivekananda for doing meditation against all odds. Not only that, visit to Sree Padmanabhaswamy temple was giving me best example where faith, culture, ritual and beauty of ancient India’s architecture combine. The last but not the least, the most interesting place was backwater where mangrove forest created web of suspense with thrill of boat riding. After backwater there is a golden beach where backwater meets sea. In the afternoon, it was looking like someone mixed gold in the sky and the Sun was shining like a glamorous diva showering it’s glittery glow in sand.

My journey reached next station in TCS Trivandrum on 13

thFebruary when my ILP started. After verification of documents, my training started where I explored new areas with help of inspiring faculties of ILP and made many friends from different regions of India having different cultures and different languages. Previously when I was in home, I did not even take a glass of water on my own, but TCS made me disciplined, self dependent. While living away from home, I faced many problems but I became my own problem solver. On International Women’s Day my letter to Amma got selected and it was posted by TCS to my home. I felt the happiness in my grandma’s voice. My idea for future home got selected as best innovative idea.

Now I am posted in Nagpur where I am not getting happiness of living in home but I am happy for being independent, happy for my workplace environment, happy for making some good friends for life in the workplace. In short, TCS has taught me how to be happy when you are unhappy, how to smile while having pain in mind, how to win in all situation, how to be your best version despite of having thousand problems. I have just started the journey of change and I believe that the journey is more beautiful than destination giving you the taste of struggles, discoveries and challenges.

One year ago, I had joined TCS. For me, TCS is not a company but an emotion, my second family. TCS has changed my vision and way of looking to life. It is my new learning temple which has given me the lesson that you can learn from each and everyone in your life. If you want, you can do good, not only for yourself but for others as a part of society, as a human beings. It describes my journey of TCS from ILP to this stage that gives me sandal scent, bringing rain in my desert life. These experiences and memories will always remain like treasure trove in tablet of my heart.
