Hi all, Jay here. I welcome you all to read my latest story titled "The Haunted Train".

Story begins

As My summer holidays had begun I and My closest friends Hemanth, Tharun, Jeevan, Kashyap and Yogesh planned a trip to Chandigarh. My cousin and his family reside in Chandigarh, I wanted to visit the place, and My besties wanted to roam around the city.

We scheduled the trip for 26th April, I and My friends met at the railway station at 10 am, our train would be arriving at 11 am. Our compartment number was 13328(random number). The train arrived at 11:05 am, it was announced that the train would leave the station at 11:25 am, as the driver was not feeling well. So we entered the compartment. We were a bit bored, so we started talking to the ticket collector. He told us that "the train is Haunted, I repeat again, the train is Haunted " so we asked him "Why is the train Haunted "?.

The ticket collector narrated the incident,

"A few years ago, a young man named Ritesh (imaginary) was travelling on the train, and he seemed very sad, I didn't ask him anything and checked his ticket and moved to other passengers, but that night an unfortunate accident happened, Ritesh fell down from the moving train while smoking his cigarette, I don't know whether if it was an accident or something but it is said that his soul is heard screaming at night around 2 am.

Fear crept into all our minds but we were excited as well to check if it is true. We were waiting for the night. We played some games on our phones and talked about silly funny stuff, time passed and it was 10 pm, we set an alarm at 1:55 am. We tried to sleep, waiting for the alarm. And finally, it rang, as its volume was slow, only we could hear it. We woke up and waited for the clock to point to 2 am. We could hear the screaming noises, it lasted till 2:07 am. My friend Hemanth wanted to use the washroom, he told me to accompany him to the door. I agreed we went towards the washroom, and he went inside. I waited for him, he didn't come out, I pushed the door hard and to my luck it opened.

I saw him lying on the floor unconscious, I sprinkled some water on his face. He woke up, but he didn't speak for a while, I took him to our seat, he slept and had got a bit of a fever.

We would reach Chandigarh at 11:30 am In the morning. We woke up at 10 am, freshened ourselves. I asked Hemanth "What happened the previous night and why did you fall unconscious," he told me "I saw a ghost staring at me from the mirror, I was chilled to my spine so I lost consciousness ". I laughed at it. Cos I didn't believe in ghosts. The train reached the station at 11:30 am. We all took our bags and biscuits to the station. We all felt excited about our trip and were ready to explore the city. I booked a cab to my cousin's house, his name is Karan, I called him on the phone and informed him that we all have reached the station and will reach his home by cab in some time. We reached his home at 12:30 pm, he greeted us and welcomed us to his home, I introduced my besties to him.

Our stay at his house was for 6 days, we had a lot of time to explore the city and enjoy the Punjabi vibe. Punjab has a great history of Warrior saints and brave kings.

So Karan has a Nissan Magnite car, We went for a trip to see a few places in the city. We explored a few tourist places, 2 of which were Sukhna Lake and Rock Garden, both of these places are awesome, but rock garden is very unique as it has statues made up of broken glass pieces and other interesting materials.

The next night, Karan took us a bit outside the city so that we could try the traditional Punjabi Dhabas, we went to a dhaba named Bobby Da Dhaba. We enjoyed the amazing Punjabi cuisine and had delicious Lassi. We had a chat for some time. While we were going in the car we saw railway tracks.

Guess what! We saw our train compartment 13328 lying still on the track. I told my cousin brother Karan, that this was the same train in which we had travelled to Chandigarh. Karan was excited, he parked his car in a parking zone and came with us, as we were going towards the train to check if everything was alright.

We entered the train, it was covered in chaos, with people crying and running here and there. We enquired to the ticket collector about what had happened. He told us "A boy named Suresh was possessed by a ghost, he killed a few passengers and jumped off the train and died ".

Then Suresh's Friend Dharmesh came and explained us the whole case he told "I had accompanied Suresh till the washroom as it was dark. He didn't come out for a long time so I opened the door by pushing against it, when the door opened, Suresh came out angrily, he took a knife from the pantry. Though It was dark, things were clearly visible to him, he killed a few passengers and jumped out and died"

As I was curious, I myself went into the washroom and thought of meeting the ghost, it was 1:55 am, I waited for 5 Minutes and entered the room exactly at 2 am, and in a few seconds the spirit appeared in the mirror, I entered the other dimension.

The spirit screamed and told me that It would kill me. I challenged the spirit to fight me, it took the form of a human, and we started to fight. It took the form of a strong human being so it was a bit tough to fight with, but finally I defeated it. It again took its original form and started to attack me with its powers. I started reciting Hanuman

Chalisa loudly, this affected the spirit and its powers faded. With Bhagwaan Hanuman's grace, I defeated the spirit and within a few minutes it turned into dust. A door opened behind me, I went towards the door and came out to my real world. As I had injuries on my hands and legs, I had proof to tell all the events that happened in the other dimension.

Finally, the ghost was gone and all of us were safe.
