The girl who could read minds

There lived a little girl with a wonderful ability – the ability to read minds. Her name was Sophie and she was just 7 years old. How did she get this ability? It is a rather queer story. Sophie was travelling to her Uncle`s house in London, and she happened to have a conversation with her mother about dreams. Her mother said, “Dreams can be fulfilled if you try hard enough.” Sophie thought that dreams are, after all, just dreams. Her mother smiled and said, “Sophie, you want to be able to read minds, don`t you? Well, this can be fulfilled! Just pray to god hard enough, maybe he will listen and grant it.” Sophie prayed all day on the flight. She prayed in the night when asleep. She prayed in the morning while eating breakfast (cereals and milk and toast), she prayed in the afternoon when eating lunch (baked beans), and prayed in the evening when playing. When she came back from her uncle`s house, she had a lovely sort of feeling.

Her teacher asked her to sit on the front bench so she could keep an eye on her, but when Sophie stared hard enough, she saw letters saying, “So that I can interact with this girl.”, draped across her teacher, Ms. Millers, on her head. Sophie nodded her head and whispered the words, “Read my best friend`s mind.” In her head, pointing her eyes at Alice, her friend. Immediately, words appeared, swathing Alice`s head, “After school, I will ask Sophie if she wants to go on the school trip with me.” After school, said Sophie to Alice, “Do you want to go on a trip with me? Our school is going on a trip, right?” Alice grinned and said softly, “That was exactly what I was about to ask YOU!” That proved that she had power. God had heard her! Sophie prayed to god all day for weeks, saying, “Thank you for the lovely talent, god. Thankyou so much.” Never cease to believe in the power of god! He will always listen to you if your heart is pure. Sophie is now 40 years old and smart enough to learn what her boss thinks about her. Beware if you meet her, for she can always guess your thoughts!
