The Girl In The Night

THE night had fallen with the stars shining bright and the cool breeze flowing, she was walking down the street returning to her home from work. The breeze was touching her hair and her duphta in a wavy sense, but something was wrong. She had her one hand tightly around the strap of her purse,and the other clutched her phone tightly and her eyes were going in every direction as if searching for something or someone, though it was just Nine O’ Clock in the night but the road was scarce, not a single soul could be seen on the street and she was scared. In her haste she turned around a corner and bumped into a guy whom she did see coming, she mumbled a sorry and continued walking but the guy started following her after a moment, while walking the girl turned back for a glance and saw him coming towards her very fast, the girl turned forward and increased her pace, she glanced one more time and saw him increase his pace, the heart of the girl was pounding and was almost in her mouth and beads of sweat appearing on her forehead, her eyes furthermore scared and she almost broke into a run. The guy also started running and near her society gate catched up with her. In her fear the girl started shouting and the guy covered her mouth with one hand and put his other hand up to show the mobile phone, which was hers. On seeing the mobile phone she stopped struggling and shouting and then he explained to her that she dropped the phone when she bumped into him and he was calling her from her behind but she did not stopped and lastly he had to catch up with her. The girl said sorry and thank you to him and the guy returned the phone and went away. when the girl reached her apartment she was all red,sweating,panting and tears were flowing down her cheeks because of everything that just happened few minutes ago.
