The Devil 'R'

"Hi, Mahek. How are you ?? It's been two days since we had our last chat."

"I was stuck somewhere. You tell ."

They had their chatting on facebook. Jokes were the main thing they share. They knew each other from 2 months and met here only. He became somewhat serious.

"You know what, there are some things present around you and give you some vibes - be it positive or negative."

"Hey, is everything alright? I knew about it to some extent, not much."She replied.

"I feel like, it's a bit different with me. I mean it's common to have some vibes from things but still. You know what, letter R gives me that negative vibes."

"What ?? "

"Yes."He texted shortly.

"So tell me everything. Why do you feel those negative vibes and how that R influences you ?"

He waited for some time and then replied, "So, it all started when I was really young. I didn't have much attraction with my maternal and paternal families. I couldn't build up any good relation with them. Both my paternal aunts discriminate between me and their own children. And the fact is their initials are 'letter R'. This was the beginning of where I had developed that person with an initial R is not a good one.."

"Is it so?? Then??"

"Next came my cousins. My maternal and paternal cousins had the same name and it started with R. Once, I told him my secret and he revealed to his mom and then it eventually became known to my mom. I was deeply hurt. that day I swear not to tell him a single thing about me. But, it was me and it was like 3 to 4 another chances we had just to patch up. But every time, he proved me wrong and today I am not in touch with him and touchwood, I don't want to be."

 "It's sad but... I don't know I am...... I am speechless."

"Do you really hate all the people who had R in their names?"Mehak asked him hesitantly.

"Actually, there are some exceptions. My sister has R in her name. I couldn't tell this to her. As I love mine, she also loves her. Moreover, our Biology teacher has a name starting from R . I really love her, she is really a nice person. This was the time I need to rethink about my thinking of this negativity about R. "

"That's good you are having some exceptions ."

"It's not even that good. Actually, I don't want any person to be in my life who has R in his or her name. But, thank God you don't have an R in your name, otherwise, it would be a bit difficult for me to trust you ."

"Yeah ." 

 "You know, this R fills me with negativity, fear of losing my loved ones overpowers my mind. I couldn't do anything. I wish I could just erase it, from names of those whom I love."He sent this message with a sad emoji.

"Mehak, thanks for being in my life. I really like it. I wanna meet you. Can we ?"

"I also like you. But before going ahead, I wanna tell you something. Mehak isn't my real name. My real name is Riya. It's a long story behind this name 'Mehak'. I am sorry. I didn't do intentionally."

He replied to her, "told you, there are some exceptions, you can be one of them, Riya."

Riya smiled and was really happy. She texted him the place and the timing to meet him. She didn't expect this positive reaction from him. They both were really excited. 

Then they met frequently and the bud of the story developed.
