It was a month of March. Outside the premises of Boston public school leaves fallen from the tree had taken the shape of carpet after falling on the ground. The leaves gave crackling sounds when someone walked upon them. The sky was clear. Air was blowing lightly. It was the time of examination in Boston public school. School had a fountain around which flowers were blooming. Near these flowers a gang of boys were standing they were discussing about the paper they had given.

“How was your paper Sam?” A boy with green eyes asked Sam, who himself looked mischievous.

“Questions were easy but I was not prepared for the exam.” Middle heighted Sam was the leader of his gang. He had interest in mathematics and wanted to become software engineer in his future. Sam had hazel coloured eyes.

One day Sandy had asked him- “Do you like computers?”

Sam had replied –“I want to make a computer of my own.”

Sandy was aware of the fact that Sam wants to be a software engineer.

I was hearing Sam’s conversation as it was my usual habit. Sam was my first crush. I rarely talked with him but I used to look for him everyday.

Next day an unusal thing happened Sam came to me and asked –“How was your exam Taylor?”

I replied –“It was okay. Did you attempted question no 3?

Sam –“the editing part… right… I did it… the question was about the drawing of exams near and not the drawing of paintings.”

One day I was thinking that what kind of guy is he. In the medical camp he had told that fever has not touched him since last 10 years, and one day he fell sick and didn’t came to the school for the next three months and he still managed to pass in the mid semester.

After the exams one day I was browsing news channel. In one channel I saw the picture of Sam displayed. My heart skipped a beat. The news told that a teenage boy has been drowned in the river Charles.

I was dumbstruck. I enquired about the matter and found that Sam was on a hike. On seeing an abandoned boat he climbed on it and started driving it with his small brother Daniel. Unfortunately the boat had hit on a rock in the midst of the river Charles. The boat had turned upside down. Sam and his brother did not know swimming. Their body was nowhere to be found. For three days I was day dreaming that he must had been saved by someone mysteriously but on the fourth day his and Daniel's swollen rotting body was found.

Sam was a common boy with everything common in him. The only thing uncommon in him was his dreams and his determination to achieve it. Only God knows if he were alive what he would have done in his future. It was only a common boyish thing playing with danger without being vigilant and therefore he had to sacrifice his dear life in a very tender age.
