The cursed bride
The cursed bride
Once In a little town, there lived a beautiful girl. Her wedding day was just a few days away, and joy filled the hearts of everyone around her. The day arrived, and dressed as a radiant bride, she sat in her palanquin, making her way to her husband’s home. Her groom rode ahead on a horse, proud and happy.
But fate had other plans.
As they passed near a grand castle, the king spotted her from his balcony. Enchanted by her beauty, he was consumed by desire. In a cruel act of greed, the king attacked. He killed her husband, seized the bride, and brought her to his palace.
He locked her in a chamber and declared, “You will marry me. You were meant to be my queen.”
But the girl stood tall, her voice unwavering. “I will never marry a man who brings death and shame. I belong to no one but the truth.”
Furious, the king tried to force her into marriage. In desperation, the girl fled through the palace. She reached a blazing pond of fire hidden deep within the grounds. Standing at its edge, she turned back and shouted her final curse:
“From this day forth, no sons shall be born in your bloodline. Only daughters. So you may feel what it is to lose your own.”
Then, with a heart full of pain and defiance, she jumped into the fiery pond.
The kingdom fell into silence. Days later, the king fell ill, and within ten days, he died—consumed by guilt, grief, and the curse.
The curse lived on.
