The Cemetery Man

The Cemetery Man

To get to his project location, Alex had to travel a significant distance outside of the city.

Later, on the way, his car broke down. Despite his best efforts, he was unable to restart the vehicle.

Soon though, a young man with a contented grin on his face rapped on the window of his vehicle and said,

Does your brother require any assistance?

Alex was initially taken aback by the young man's sudden appearance out of nowhere on the lonely, dark road.

But he quickly responded, "Yes, yes, please assist!" and explained that he was running late to a location where his presence was essential.

The boy grinned and said,

"He was likewise late getting somewhere a year ago, but today he doesn’t do it anymore!”

always arrives everywhere in time, like he did when he came to assist him here.

Alex laughed but thought the man's statements were a little odd.

The kind but weird man quickly opened the car's bonnet and got to work fixing it.

Although Alex couldn't see him, he began speaking to him.

When Alex questioned him what he was doing there by himself at night, whether he worked or lived nearby, and what his name was, he said that he was really kind and that no one helped a stranger these days.

Alex was only asked to start the automobile when the man remained silent.

The car soon started, but Alex noticed something odd: the hood was still open.

To at least express his gratitude to the young stranger for his helpful assistance, Alex got out of the car, but he was disappointed to see no one around.

Alex departed the location because he had already arrived too late for the scheduled meeting and had little interest in the young stranger.

The location where his automobile had broken down was empty save from a graveyard, which astonished and alarmed him as he made his way home the next day.
