Once a boy was living in village in a small hut with his parents. The village was small but beautiful. Lush green grass, trees, beautiful pond and a church were the highlights of this village.

The boy was hardworking, thrived to study in order to support his family. He also loved  to spend time and play with pet animals around his house. He used to feed them whenever he had.

Luckily one day he had the opportunity to own a lamb which was gifted by his parent. The lamb was very young when it was brought home,  its appearance was liked by the boy. He started paying attention everyday to the lamb after school hours

He used to take lamb everyday to backyard green field to eat grass by itself for the evening, and to gather grass for night and daytime.

The lamb grew up slowly, fit  and healthy. It was given so much attention by the boy that it drew more close than the bond of a mother. The lamb always used to wait to go with the boy everyday to the field

Time went by lamb became very matured and looked like trained human,  it used to jump with joy and run around the field and house along with the boy.

Their friendship was inseparable, the boy became very emotional with the lamb, but sooner the turn had come to kill the lamb by his parents for the upcoming festival in the church.

The boy had requested the parents multiple time not to kill the lamb for festival. The parents didn't pay any heed to him. The day had  finally arrived when the lamb was going to be slaughtered and killed. The butcher was being informed and all was set for the kill.

The boy was sad. Tears rolled down his cheek. He was wishing the morning may never come. With heavy heart he fell asleep. The butcher came early morning before he got up and killed it. Even before he knew it was killed it was already being served to all relatives and guests.

The ceremony was beautiful with lot of fun and frolic. But not in boy's heart. He was lost in his thoughts,as if his world was snatched away from him. A long unbroken relationship was deemed to be broken. He lost interest in everything. It took a whole lot of time to come out of such loss. Ultimately boy though had grown up but that scar still itched inside. Had the lamb lived and died a natural death, the boy would have been more satisfied.

This is just a story of one boy. How many boys there would be who are suffering like this, unable to stop it even if they want to.

Moral of the Story - Do not kill pets, let them live as you live and take the natural way of ending their short and sweet life.

Feed them and make them enjoy their birth rights, Dont be cruel to pets as you dont like the cruelty by others
