The Agent In Disguise Part-1

Velincity was the richest city in Natland. In the center stood the National Bank, always busy and heavily guarded. For almost a month, a poor man sat quietly near the bank gate every day. He did not beg or talk — he only watched. Most people ignored him, but the bank manager, Robert, was irritated by him. One morning, Robert received an urgent call from a government Minister. Banks across the country were being robbed, and Velincity could be next. A top undercover agent named Franklin had been deployed, but no one would know his identity. Angry and stressed, Robert ordered guards to push the poor man away from the gate. An hour later, gunfire exploded inside the bank. Five masked robbers stormed the hall. Customers screamed. Guards tried to fight — but suddenly collapsed. One robber laughed and said the guards had been given poisoned juice earlier. Robert froze — until a whisper came through his AirPod: “Stay calm. I’m inside.” It was Franklin. One masked robber fought with incredible skill and took down several attackers. But he was eventually overpowered and tied up. Just before he could be killed, two more masked fighters rushed in and defeated the remaining gang. They revealed themselves as secret agents. The tied fighter stood up, dropped the rope, and removed his mask. He was the poor man from the gate. He was Franklin. He explained that he stayed disguised so insider spies would ignore him. The bank was saved, the criminals arrested — and Franklin disappeared without taking credit. But Franklin knew this was only the beginning. Days later, while working in a new disguise at a roadside tea stall, Franklin overheard criminals talking about “Phase Two” and a secret approval from high authority. He realized the robberies were part of a bigger hidden network. That same night, he secretly met Robert in the bank basement and showed him leaked mission files and tracking data. Many past protection agents had failed because information was being leaked from inside the system. Franklin suspected someone powerful was controlling events from above. Shocked, Robert agreed to help. Together they created a trap — a fake money transfer plan with fake timing and fake guards. Only one person would receive the details: the Minister. “If the attackers show up,” Franklin said quietly, “we will know who controls them.” The next morning, the Minister received the fake plan. He read it. He smiled. And he reached for a hidden button under his desk. Elsewhere, Franklin watched a live signal blink on his device — the trap had been triggered. But then he noticed something wrong. The authorization code attached to the strike order did not come from the Minister’s channel alone. It came from inside the bank system. From a manager-level override. Franklin looked up slowly. “Impossible,” he whispered. Someone closer was involved. Someone he had already trusted. To be continued…
