That One Room....!!

On the third floor of an old building, there was a small room that Ankita had rented. She was new to the city and her budget was limited. Due to the cheap rent, Ankita didn't ask too many questions. The room had only a bed, a wardrobe, and a mirror on the wall opposite.

The first day was normal. Ankita arranged her belongings, opened the window, and told herself, "Come on, a new beginning."

The First Night's Experience
In the middle of the night, Ankita woke up. A strange silence filled the room. Then she felt as if someone was watching her. Ankita slowly looked towards the mirror. It was her own reflection, but her eyes were different, as if they were not looking at Ankita, but at something else within Ankita. Ankita immediately looked away.

The Second Day and Growing Unease
Everything was normal in the morning. Ankita reassured herself, "Perhaps it's fatigue." But in the evening, when she returned, as soon as she stepped into the room, she felt suffocated, as if someone else was present there. She looked in the mirror. This time everything was fine, but the strange thing was that her mind couldn't move away from that mirror.

The Incident of the Second Night
Suddenly, Ankita woke up in the night. A voice echoed in the room— "Ankita..." She asked nervously, "Who?" There was no answer. Slowly, her gaze fell on the mirror. She herself was standing in the mirror, while Ankita was sitting on the bed. Her heart began to pound rapidly. The Ankita in the mirror smiled, "Why are you scared?" Ankita stammered, "Who... are you?" A voice came from the mirror— "I... am the one you don't want to see."

The Third Day and an Attempt to Escape
Ankita now understood that something was wrong. She decided, "I will leave this room today." She went to the door, placed her hand on the handle, but as soon as she tried to open the door, her hand stopped on its own. Her heart began to pound, as if someone inside was saying— "Don't go..." Ankita stepped back. She looked at the mirror. This time, the Ankita standing in the mirror was staring at her, without blinking.

The Horrific End of the Last Night
Ankita spent the entire night awake. A strange coldness had spread in the room. The Ankita standing in the mirror slowly began to move forward, as if the boundary of the mirror was disappearing. "The time has come..." a voice came from the mirror. "For what?" Ankita asked fearfully. "To see the truth..." Suddenly the room light went out. For a few seconds, complete darkness enveloped everything. Ankita wanted to scream, but no sound came out. And then— everything became silent.

The Morning Scene
The next morning... the room door was open. The landlord came in. The room was perfectly normal. The bed was made, things were in their place. But... Ankita was lying unconscious on the floor. She was breathing, but her eyes were empty, as if nothing was left inside. She was taken to the hospital.

The Final Truth
The doctors said, "Her body is fine, but her mind is not responding." Ankita never regained consciousness. She just... remained an empty shell. A few days later... that room was rented out again. A new boy came to live there. As soon as he placed his belongings, his gaze fell on the mirror in front. He stared at it for a few seconds, then smiled slightly and slowly said— "So... now it's my turn?" Inside the mirror... Ankita was standing. Alive. Smiling.
