Success is not an accident

This story took place in Saurastra region of Gujarat (India).

This bird is known as 'Titodi' there.

The interesting thing about this is that the knowledge of monsoon can be acquired from the place where this bird gives eggs.

If Sandpiper places eggs on ground that means this time rain will be less.

And if Sandpiper places eggs some where above the ground that means there will be more rain.

So, once this Sandpiper placed eggs by the sea.

And at the same time there was a tide in the sea.

And all the eggs have gone to the sea.

Sandpiper got angry.

So, the young Sandpiper thought that I will pick sand in my mouth and put that sand into the sea.

This is how I will dry the entire sea and get back my eggs.

She started doing that for a long time.

After some time many people thought this is impossible and unimaginable. But Sandpiper was committed.

As she got older, she felt that my efforts would not work.

So, what she did was whenever she picked the sand in her mouth she started taking the name of the God.

She started doing this.

That also took a long time.

After huge efforts and dedication of this little bird.

She started getting famous.

Devta's started talking about her.

And this talks about this little bird reached "Vaikunth Dham".

And Lord Shri Vishnu heard about this.

Lord Krishna thought that he should help her.

He came on earth and asked Sandpiper that what can he do for her.

And she told him that she needs her eggs back .

Lord Vishnu ordered the sea and Sandpiper got her eggs back.

After telling this story in Mahabharata Vyasji aks a question to his students.

He asked that, Tell me ''Sandpiper got her eggs back from her hard work or from her luck /God's mercy"?

Some Said that she got her eggs back by her efforts.

And some Said "NO".

She got her eggs back because of God's mercy or luck.

So, at the end Vyasji says that these both kind of answer are half right and half wrong.

Ved Vyas ji gave this statement presenting the answer.

"Yatoo Hee satatah karyaa ha tataoo devyen sidhyathee " - Sanskrit Shloka

We must make continuous efforts after that God/ Destiny will give us success.

              SO

The correct answer was that God got impressed by Sandpiper's continuous efforts and its luck was increased that's why she got her eggs back.
