Social Responsibility

Once upon a time, there lived a man named Kuldeep with his children Priya and Pradeep. His wife passed away which led to Guldeep becoming irresponsible. His children would always complain about his irresponsibility.



Once when the children of a nearby school were going around, collecting wastes from house to house, they saw Kuldeep burning plastic in his courtyard. They went up to him and said " Uncle, please do not burn plastic. The gas produced is harmful to our health." But Kuldeep replied arrogantly " It's none of your business. This is my house and my yard! I have the right to do anything. " The children had no other option but to go from there.



After some time, Priya came out and started playing in their garden. The effect of the burning made her choke. She could no longer bear it and was taken to the hospital. She was kept in ICU for 3 days.



It was during these moments that Guldeep felt guilty. He understood his own mistake. He said to himself " If I had listened to those children, my child would not have faced a serious condition like this."



From that day, Kuldeep became a responsible citizen and did no harm to his family, society and to the environment.
