Slice of Life

People gain inspiration from innumerable people or things around them. Their inspirations may also change at different stages in their life. When I was a little kid, I used to look at my mother and always wanted to become like her. Taking care of the whole house all by herself. "It would be so much fun", I would think.

Later when I was 5, and began going to school, things changed. It was a whole new experience for me to be with someone other than my parents. Suddenly my teachers started being a part of my life. Being with my teachers made me realize the importance of having a guiding force, other than parents. I began to admire some of them and started to feel like I wanted to be one of them. For around four years I grew up with the thought of opting for this noble profession and becoming like my favorite teacher who took great pains for each of her students to do their best and excel in their studies. Similarly, I too wanted to brighten up the future of little children and help them succeed in their lives.

But that was not the end. I have heard from my parents that I had an inclination to Art ever since I was a toddler. Whenever I had nothing to do, I would just grab a paper and my paints and start off with my childish imagination. My parents encouraged me to work on my hobby and when I was old enough to take up art, I was enrolled into a drawing class to polish my inbuilt skills. I received complete support and encouragement from my drawing sir. Slowly and steadily my work improved and I came up with lovely drawings and paintings which were appreciated by everyone. This appreciation and paintings by famous artists inspired me to create more.

Later, when I was permitted to access the internet I began to watch videos online. I loved watching videos, where they made huge, extraordinary cakes that replicated normal everyday objects. It was a pleasure to watch people bake awesome, delicious, wedding cakes, birthday cakes and cakes that we can never even imagine. I started to think "what if I make cakes like these?". It would be just amazing. I would earn lots of money and it would also be so satisfying to see all those happy faces of all my customers.

But it all changed when I began watching sci-fi movies. Scientists would create dinosaurs with features of all sorts of other creatures. Experimenting with the DNA and genes of flora and fauna would be so much fun even though it seems way too difficult. I started to imagine me create a cute dog with traits of chameleon to camouflage and the ability to run faster than a cheetah. Maybe someday I would create something out of the world which would make me famous.

I believe one can never stop getting inspired. Everything around us, even the smallest thing can teach us something. We just need to realize it.
