It was the month of Savan and the road looks like cleaned with the rainwater on the previous day. I am going for my regular morning walk to the nearby park. As I am new to this area, there were not many friends to me. There is a temple opposite to the park. That was Monday and it is flooded with devotees who are eager for the darshan and abhisheka of Lord Shiva. I completed my exercise ritual and sat on a bench to relax for some time. There is a truck parked near to the wall of the park and I can see the driver.

He lit the dhoop sticks. He waved dhoop sticks towards the Shiva temple. He chanted Om Namah Shivaya. I got surprised and asked what you have done? He has given me a doubtful look. I worshipped Shiva he said. Do you believe God accepts worship like this?  I asked him to know his feelings about God.

He said confidently, Shiva accepts any form of worship if your heart prays with good intention.

Why don't you go inside the temple? I just wanted to know. He did not answer. I asked him again.

"He smiled".

Are you not allowed to go to this temple?

He started his vehicle.

The side mirror has shown tears falling from his eyes. I do not believe in God. I lifted my head and looked at the sky. I murmured let him get inside your temple.

I do not know whether I am an atheist or not anymore.
