NOTE: This story is inspired by multiple real-life shipwrecking incidents. My school friend Praveen narrated one of these incidents to me. Impressed and fascinated by those incidents, I decided to write this story. But I felt a love story interspersed with the human loss would be essential to conveying the emotional impact of the disaster.

Disclaimer: This story is based on the author's fiction. It doesn't apply to any historical references or real-life incidents. Parental guidance is necessary for the kids because of the intimate scenes.

INSPIRATIONS FOR THIS STORY: Beas River disaster, Sewol Ferry Tragedy, 2014 Andaman Disaster and Titanic disaster. The Movie Titanic was also an inspiration for me to write this story.

March 15, 2023

CHENNAI, TAMILNADU

05:30 AM

In 2023, abroad, the research vessel INS Indrajith, a 54-year-old Rajiv, and his team searched the wreck of INS Vipasa in the Andaman Sea, Thiruvananthapuram. They recover a safe, which contains a signet ring known as the epic story of tomorrow. Instead, they find only a drawing of a young, nude man wearing the Signet ring on a woman. The sketch is dated June 8, 2014, the same day INS Indrajith sank in the river. After viewing a television news story about the discovery, a 28-year-old Praveen contacts Rajiv, identifying his close friend Adhithya Krishna as the man in the drawing. Hoping he can help locate the signet ring, Rajiv brings Praveen to Manali around 8:30 p.m.

"What happened, Praveen? How did that accident happen?" asked Rajiv.

As Rajiv asked him about the disaster, Praveen recounted his experiences as a second-year engineering student.

NINE YEARS BACK

RAM INSTITUTE OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY, CHENNAI

18TH MARCH 2014

05:30 PM

In 2014, 48 students and three faculty and staff members of the Ram Institute of Engineering and Technology (Chennai) were on a long trip from Chennai to the Andaman Sea. Adhithya Krishna and Praveen were among them. Along with the students, there were 200 passengers who were travelling on the ship.

Now, the INS Vipasa ship is travelling from Hyderabad's Bay of Bengal to the Andaman Sea. This ship carries both passengers and cargo. On April 15th, the ship started its usual journey. A total of 50 passengers were travelling on that ship. All of them were college students from Hyderabad. Since Andaman is a tourist destination, to visit it from the college, they have arranged a tour.

When they were going on that ship, all the students were enjoying the views by taking photos and videos. While Adhithya Krishna was having fun with his four close friends—Adhiyan, Praveen Krishna, Meenakshi, and Mythili

20TH MARCH 2014

04:40 PM

Meanwhile, Adhithya's classmate Sowmiya, distraught over her parents' pressures, climbs over the stern railing, intending to commit suicide. He coaxes her back onto the deck.

"Why did you pull me up?" asked Sowmiya, after slapping Adhithya.

"Why did you want to commit suicide?" asked Adhithya. With tears filling her eyes, Sowmiya cried. She said, "I don't like this world. So, I want to commit suicide."

Adhithya laughed. He said, "If everybody commits suicide for silly reasons, then there's no meaning to living this human life." By going closer to her, he wiped the tears from Sowmiya's eyes and said, "Make every day the time when you turn what you don't know into what you would like to happen. Because the epic story of tomorrow can't be written if it ends today."

After a few seconds, Adhithya asked her name, to which Sowmiya replied, "One year passed. Still, you don't know my name?"

"Sorry. I didn't speak much with girls. I am a bit slow in that." Sowmiya laughed and said, "By the way, my name is Sowmiya. Hometown is Coimbatore."

"I am too from Coimbatore only, Sowmiya." Adhithya said. They both shake hands and develop a friendship.

23rd to 31st March 2014

As he grew closer with Sowmiya, he asked her, "Sowmi. Are you interested in Hinduism and Vedas?"

"Yes. I am really interested, Adhi." As she said so, he asked, "Do you know about Vipasa?"

"No," said Sowmiya.

Looking at the Andaman Sea, Adhithya said, "Sowmiya. Vipasa is the ancient name of the Beas River, and it is mentioned in the Hindu scriptures. There is an interesting story as to how the Vipasa River got its name."

"What's that story?" asked Sowmiya, keeping her hands on her cheeks.

"Legend has it that a man-eating Rakshasa entered the body of King Saudasa. He then roamed around the forest, eating human beings. One day, he devoured all 100 sons of Sage Vasishta. Unable to bear the loss of his sons, the sage attempted to kill himself. But all his attempts failed. He then bound his arms and legs with strong ropes and plunged into the Beas River, which was in full flow and breaching its banks due to rain. The river loosened the knots of the sage and took him safely to one of its banks. As it unbound and saved the Sage, it came to be known as Vipasa."

"What does Vipasa mean, Adhithya?"

"Sowmi. Vipasa means unbound. Like love, which has no borders, no limits, and no bounds," said Adhithya.

FROM APRIL 1ST TO APRIL 7TH, 2014

Amidst the climate change and rainfall, Adhithya went closer to Sowmiya. With nervousness, he said, "I can't believe I'm lucky enough to have found my dream girl, Sowmiya." However, Sowmiya rejects Adhithya's attention.

But she reads a diary about him in which Adhithya explains his bitter childhood life.

"I have waited for so long for the perfect girl, and my patience has finally paid off. My mother was always money-minded. She never knows the meaning of love, hospitality, or compassion. All she knew was to fight with everyone.

When my mother and her relatives treated me with partiality, I was supported and helped by my father.

He motivated me to become good and better in this society. One day, my father said, Don't think all girls will be bad. You would find true love. Believe in your God. He will show you your true love. I found my love. She is Sowmiya. On this day, I vow to be completely yours forever. You can do no wrong in my eyes. You are perfect! The moment I saw you, my mind said 'whoa', my heart said, 'I like you' and my soul said, 'I finally found you.' I'm so grateful you exist. I hope you'll let me love you forever. You may not be perfect. You are flawed, like all humans. But you are perfect for me, and that's all that matters, Sowmi. I promise to handle your heart with care and treasure it with love."

Sowmiya realises that Adhithya has yearned for love and affection since his childhood days because of his relatives and mother's physical and mental tortures. She returns to him after realising she has fallen in love with him.

"I crown you the queen of my heart, Sowmiya. I love you," said Adhithya. They both embrace each other.

"I love you forever, Adhi," said Sowmiya.

ONE WEEK LATER

13 April 2014

08:30 PM

Meanwhile, Sowmiya goes to Adhithya's room after everyone has slept. She brings him to her state room, where they converse throughout the day.

"Adhithya. Can you draw me nude, wearing only the signet ring (epic story of tomorrow)?" Adhithya initially feels nervous. But he later accepts and evades the servant, Muruganandham. In a Renault Town car inside a cargo hold, they were both having conversations about the great ancient poet Kalidasa.

"Why is he so famous?" asked Adhithya.

"You know. The legend of the exquisitely beautiful Shakuntala and the mighty king Dushyant is a thrilling love story from the epic Mahabharata. The great ancient poet Kalidasa retold this in his immortal play Abhijnanashakuntalam."

"Who is Shakuntala? I don't know much. Can you please explain their love story, Sowmiya? I am very eager to hear about it."

"While on a hunting trip, King Dushyant of the Puru dynasty meets the hermit girl Shakuntala. They fall in love with each other, and, in the absence of her father, Shakuntala weds the king in a ceremony of 'Gandharva', a form of marriage by mutual consent with Mother Nature as the witness. When the time comes for Dushyant to return to his palace, he promises to send an envoy to escort her to his castle. As a symbolic gesture, he gives her a signet ring. One day, when the hot-headed hermit Durvasa stops at her hut for hospitality, Shakuntala, lost in her love thoughts, fails to hear the guest's calls. The temperamental sage turns back and curses her: "He whose thoughts have engrossed you would not remember you anymore." On the plea of her companions, the enraged sage relents and adds a condition to his curse-statement: "He can only recall you upon producing some significant souvenir." Days roll by, and nobody from the palace comes to fetch her. Her father sends her to the royal court for their reunion, as she was pregnant with Dushyant's child. En route, Shakuntala's signet ring accidentally drops into the river and gets lost. When Shakuntala presents herself before the king, Dushyant, under the spell of the curse, fails to acknowledge her as his wife. Heartbroken, she pleads with the gods to vanquish her from the face of the earth. Her wish is granted. The spell is broken when a fisherman finds the signet ring in the guts of a fish—the same ring that Shakuntala had lost on her way to court. The king suffers from an intense feeling of guilt and injustice. Shakuntala forgives Dushyant, and they are reunited happily. She gives birth to a male child. He is called Bharat, after whom India gets her name."

14 April 2014

12:00 AM

Adhithya was stunned.

"Now I understand why you wanted me to wear the signet ring in your hands, Sowmiya," said Adhithya.

Sowmiya went closer to Adhithya and asked, "What do you understand?"

"That ring symbolically says: Lying in your loving arms is heaven on earth." Adhithya said it playfully by beeping the horn in the cargo.

"Where to miss?"

"To the stars," Sowmiya answers softly by whispering into Adhithya's ear. Now, he pulled her closer to him.

"Are you feeling nervous?" asked Adhithya.

"No."

"You are by far the most amazing, beautiful, sexy, loving, kind, and annoying woman in the world, Sowmiya. All I want to do is worship every inch of your body. I want you to feel absolutely incredible, baby." Adhithya softly kisses her lips.

"You can do no wrong in my eyes. You are perfect!"

"Take your time and tease the hell out of me, Adhi."

"Just lay back. I wanted you to feel my hands all over your soft skin." Playing with her fingers, Adhithya ran his fingers on her arms and legs. Massaging Sowmiya's back, he kissed her neck, collarbone, and cheek. After kissing and licking her ears, he kissed her lips softly.

Kissing Sowmiya more passionately, Adhithya started caressing her face by brushing her hair out of her eyes and stroking her cheek. Running his hands through her hair, he felt the fabric of her hair through his hands. Now, Adhithya proceeds to run his hands on Sowmiya's inner thighs, outer thighs, stomach, waist, ass, chest, boobs, and breasts.

Tracing her lips and waistline with his fingers, Adhithya kissed Sowmiya's stomach, breasts, and skirt lines. Now, he removed her sari like removing a statute to expose her skin. Now, Adhithya unbuttoned her bikini slowly with his teeth. After removing her bikini, he sensually removed her skirts while looking into Sowmiya's eyes. Teasing the bare skin around and on her vaginal lips, Adhithya took Sowmiya to bed. Now he started rubbing her clitoral area. After fingering Sowmiya, both of them have sex in the bedroom of the cargo hold.

Adhithya and Sowmiya were sticky. Both were naked and sleeping on the bed. But still, it wasn't cold. It was hot, and with that hotness, both were exhausted. Sowmiya was lying on top of him.

"Your looks, your brain, your romance, and your cooking all get an A ."

"Roses are red, violets are blue; I'm no poet. I just want to kiss you!" Adhithya passionately kissed her lips and looked at her.

Now, Adhithya said, "Sowmi. Are you a cameraman? Because every time I look at you, I want to smile."

"The power of your smile should never be underestimated, Adhi."

"Is it?"

"Yes. It melts my heart and touches my soul. You are the winner and the sole owner of my heart. No one else matters when I look into your eyes." Sowmiya said that and kissed his lips.

"Your smile is intoxicating, Sowmiya. It lingers; it captivates my heart. One of the reasons why I love you is that you are always there for me, no matter what. Oh, and those sweet lips of yours—they are the cherry on top. You're going to have to stop being so gorgeous because my heart is about to beat completely out of my chest."

The next day, Adhithya and Sowmiya return to their room after having a romantic hug. Before going, Adhithya said, "Sowmiya. I can't imagine my life without you. My heart, my mind, and my soul are yours forever." They became emotional and hugged each other in tears.

PRESENT

11:30 PM

At present, around 11:30 PM, Praveen looked at the signet rings of Adhithya and Sowmiya. Rajiv, who heard about the intense love between Adhithya and Sowmiya, was stunned. He questioned him: "How did the disaster occur?"

"We were enjoying the nature and scenario on the way to the Andaman Sea, sir. It was about to come. But we didn't know that our happiness was going to change into sadness."

Looking at sea, Praveen added: "Usually when we think about ships, the first thing that comes to mind is the Titanic, sir. Similarly, my fellow students on the ship also thought like that. When my friend Meenakshi googled about the Titanic, we learned it sank on April 15. And the day on which we were travelling was also April 15. It's been exactly 102 years since the Titanic sank. Like this, we were talking about the coincidence of the date."

Praveen started recounting the horrible sea disaster.

15th April 2014

6:48 PM

When INS Vipasa was going near the Andaman Sea, an unexpected incident started to happen. The ship suddenly started to incline to the left, and at the same time, from the basement of the ship, a loud noise like a thunderstorm was heard.

Normally, all ships have an age limit. Similarly, the age limit for INS Vipasa is a maximum of 20 years. Vipasa is already an 18-year-old ship. When the ship comes close to the age limit, either they will recycle it or else they will make some changes to it. But without recycling this ship, they increased the space for passengers and cargo and brought it back to work again. After they made these changes, the maximum limit to carry cargo was fixed at 987 metric tonnes.

But on the day of the incident, they carried 3600 tonnes of cargo on that ship. Generally, if the ship carries cargo, it should be handled very safely. Also, the changes in weather conditions in the river should be noted inch by inch, and for that, they will follow safety protocols at that time. Because even if a small mistake happens, it will end in big danger. When it was like this with more than 200 passengers, along with the ship, which carries 3x cargo weight, how much safety should they have handled that ship?

Meanwhile, Adhithya and Sowmiya were alarmed when they heard the loud noise.

The ship's captain, 69-year-old Noor Muhammad, without any fear or panic, was coolly taking a rest in his cabin. Upon seeing this, Sowmiya gets angry.

"If the captain is taking a rest in the cabin, then who is driving the ship, Adhithya?" He goes along with her to check on who is driving the ship. It was 55 years old, Aravinth. Along with him is 26-year-old Leena Joseph.

Now Aravinth's work is to steer the wheel according to Noor's instructions.

"The captain did the right thing when he was resting. He gave his work to other captains," said Adhithya. Now, Sowmiya decides to leave this as per Adhithya's request.

(But there is a twist in this.)

Both Aravinth and Leena Joseph have less than six months of experience sailing a ship. 26-year-old Leena is not in the position of captain. She is a normal third mate who is in charge of the safety equipment on the ship. In fact, both of them were learning how to sail the ship.

On the day of the incident, Leena was monitoring the speed of the ship. At that time, it was travelling at 18 knots, that is, 33 km/h. When it was going like this, Leena checked the ship's radar. In that, it showed a change in the direction of the ship. At the same time, in that area, the current of the sea waves was high.

Now Leena, who checked only the radar, did not notice the current in the sea. In this situation, experience is very important.

(Now the current, which they didn't notice, is going to be the reason for a most horrible incident in Indian history.)

The time is exactly 6:48 p.m. Now Leena asked Aravinth to turn the steering from 135 degrees to 140 degrees. Aravinth turned the steering wheel according to her instructions. When he turned the steering wheel, the ship started to turn right. But the ship didn't turn completely. Only the sharp front of the ship was turning to the right side. While the back side of the ship was pulling to the left side. Like a bike-scraping ship was scraping there. The strong current of the river was pulling the ship towards the left.

The ship was struggling to turn completely against its force. It continuously kept moving towards the left, like scraping. Now Aravinth, who was handling the steering wheel, began to sweat. Because if it continues like this, the ship may incline in a few minutes. He started to shout at Leena and asked, "What to do next?"

To bring the ship to a normal position, they didn't have any option other than to turn the steering wheel to the left. Leena asked Aravinth to turn the steering wheel 5 degrees left. Aravinth also turned the steering wheel 5 degrees left in panic, as she said. But, like they thought, the ship didn't come to the normal stage. Again, they turned 10 degrees, and now they turned 15 degrees in total. But now also, the ship didn't turn, and now, when Aravinth was having his hand on the steering wheel, beyond his control and strength, the steering wheel started to rotate itself.

Seeing this, Aravinth was shocked. Both Leena and Aravinth were stunned to see the steering wheel rotating itself. The ship, which weighed 6825 tonnes, has suddenly lost control of its centrifugal force. It started to incline to the left. Suppose the ship is inclined like this; most of the time, it will come to its straight position by itself. But it depends on the weight of the ship. This ship might also come to a straight position if it carried limited cargo. But they carried three times more weight.

Before the inclined ship came to its straight position, the chains with which the cargo was tied in the basement were cut, the cargo was inclined, and the ship, which was already inclined to the left, pushed more and hit the left side of the ship. At this time, a loud noise came. It was subsequently heard by Sowmiya and Adhithya.

Since all the cargo was inclined, the ship couldn't come to a straight position and was inclined to the left. Now Aravinth didn't know what to do. He ran and switched off the engine. At that time, the happiness of the passengers was destroyed. It changed into a hectic situation minute by minute.

After everything was over, Captain Noor came out of the cabin in panic. Immediately, he went and saw the basement. Since the windows were broken by the cargo at high pressure, sea water started to come inside the ship. When he saw the water slowly coming to the passenger area without knowing what to do next, he was frozen in shock. At that time, he heard the passengers screaming.

Immediately, Noor ran to the control room, took the microphone, and started announcing.

"The ship is going to sink now. Don't panic. Everyone, put on your life jacket and wait. Definitely, the rescue team will come and save everyone." Noor said it with a shivering noise.

The time is exactly 6:52 p.m. Exactly 5 minutes after the ship was inclined, all the passengers and students on that ship called their parents and relatives. They started talking about the sinking of the ship.

While everyone is calling their parents, one of the students, Mythili, thought of calling the emergency number immediately. She called the emergency number and said, "Sir. Please save us! We are on a ship, and I think it is sinking." It was only after the student made the call that the captain and crew member sent an emergency signal at 6:55 PM. As soon as they got these two signals, the rescue team started speeding to the place where the ship was.

At the time when all the passengers were waiting for the rescue boats, one of the crew members gave an announcement.

"Everybody, don't move an inch from where you are. Because the ship is at an inclined angle. Even your small movements are very dangerous. So hold the pillars for safety." Like this, they made an announcement.

Adhithya's friend Meenakshi said to her friends, "This is crazy. Isn't this the kind of situation when they tell you, Stay put; it will be okay, and they run away for their lives? That happened in a subway accident. They said, 'It will be okay; stay put. But only the people who didn't follow the order survived."

At 6:48 PM, the ship was inclined, and exactly 40 minutes later, at 9:39 PM, the rescue team came there, and when the rescue boat came there, the ship was slowly sinking to the left side of the sea. Immediately, this was broadcast live on all news channels. Everyone who was seeing this news was lively and started praying that until everyone was saved, the ship should not sink.

But soon, the government disconnected that live broadcast. Now in a small rescue boat, which came there first, a person from the sinking ship faster went and boarded the boat. The person who came there first to save his life is none other than the captain of the sinking ship, Noor. In the next rescue boast, 14 members were boarded, and it was the crew members. If it wasn't recorded in the video, this truth would not be known to anyone.

The captain and crew members were the first to survive. Adhithya, Sowmiya, and the college students inside the sinking ship were looking out of the window very pitifully. Now Noor looked at the school students who were looking at him and said, "Don't jump out or move."

The time was exactly 9:50 p.m. In the next rescue, they saved 80 passengers. When they were boarding the passengers in the rescue boat, everyone stumbled and fell down. Since the ship had already started, it was inclined 65 degrees to the left. At that moment, all the college students inside the ship started screaming in fear. The rescue team started boarding the passengers faster than before. But it took some time to bring everyone to the shore and come back there. However, at that time, the situation on the ship started getting very bad.

The sea water that started coming from the basement of the ship has reached the place where the passenger is. Without knowing what to do in fear and without standing like the captain and the crew member said, some of them ran to the top of the ship. When they came to the top, they gathered their courage and jumped into the sea from a height of 50 feet. Hundreds of passengers saw them jumping. Now, they have also started to jump through the right-side window faster.

As the ship's stern rises as the flooded bow sinks, Adhithya, Meenakshi, Praveen, Mythili, and Sowmiya desperately cling to the stern rail. The upended ship breaks in half, and the bow section sinks. The stern slams back onto the sea, upends again, and sinks. After his friends jumped, the rescue team came and took Meenakshi, Praveen, and Mythili.

In the freezing water, Sowmiya meanwhile helps Adhithya onto a wood transom panel among the debris, buoyant enough only for one person, and makes him a promise to survive. But she dies of cold shock. Her death completely shattered Adhithya. He was among six people saved by the one returning lifeboat. INS Delhi rescues the survivors, and Adhithya joins with them as a volunteer.

Those who jumped were saved by the rescue boat. But since a lot of people believed the words of the captain very much, they were standing motionless from where they were in the drifting boat with life jackets. They had the mentality that somehow the rescue team would come and save them. But none of them knew that the ship was going to sink in a few minutes. All those passengers were standing in this kind of centre position on the ship. The time is exactly 10:21 p.m.

Exactly one hour and 30 minutes had passed since the ship sank. Till then, the rescue team had saved 172 people. Now the ship is only 10 minutes away from sinking. But this matter, who are stuck inside and longing to save them somehow, and along with those 23 college students who were waiting for Captain's words, those 204 passengers don't know it. The left side of the ship started to completely sink into the sea. Now no one can come out of the ship, even if they want to. No one, including the rescue team, can go inside. Beyond that, if someone wants to go inside, they should dive into the sea and go through the exit of a sunken ship. Only experienced divers can do that. But unfortunately, no divers were there. At that time, many college students who were stuck on that ship, since they knew it was the last minute of their lives, started calling their parents.

"Even though there were lots of rescue boats around us, we couldn't escape. We were caught inside. In a few minutes, we are going to die, mom." Like this, the students said this to their parents and started crying.

(At that time, the mentality of those students, who had a lot of dreams in life, and the mentality of the parents, who thought that they were their world—I couldn't even think of it.)

The time is exactly 10:31 p.m. 146 metres—that is, a 477-foot-long ship. One hour and 45 minutes after it was inclined to the left, the college students and other passengers—a total of 204 students when they were alive—began to sink into the sea. The place, which had been so busy for so long, started to become quiet. Rescue boats and helicopters were around them, but they couldn't do anything. Now all they can do is watch those 204 people drown alive.

On one side, when the live was cut, all the people were confused, not knowing what happened to the ship. Then suddenly, news was broadcast. When they heard that the ship had sunk with 204 passengers, all the people in India started crying.

PRESENT

"After hearing this news, Sridhar, the vice principal of Ram Institute of Engineering and Technology, felt guilty, sir. Since he was the one who arranged this tour for the students, thinking that he was the reason for those students' deaths, the next day, Sridhar committed suicide," said Praveen.

"Did Captain also feel guilty for this accident?" asked Rajiv. This angered Praveen. Wiping off his tears, he said, "Not at all, sir. Do you know what Captain Noor said in court?"Rajiv looks at Praveen.

"He said it was an accident, and he had no guilt about it. Noor gave the responsibility of driving cargo ships to those without experience. The captain, who should have acted responsibly while driving the rescue vehicle, didn't act correctly. Beyond all this, he told the passengers not to jump and gave the wrong command. He was thinking very selfishly and thought that just escaping would be enough, sir."

After venting out his anger on Captain Noor, Praveen told Rajiv: "On April 25, 2015, the captain was given a life sentence, sir. The crew members who escaped with the captain were given imprisonment from 18 months to 12 years, sir."

"Ok. What about Adhithya? How is he?" When Rajiv asked this, Praveen said, "He is dead, sir."

"What? Really, I can't believe this," said Rajiv, who was shocked and stunned.

"Sowmiya sacrificed their lives to send her friends and Adhithya safely, sir. Since childhood, Adhithya has used to volunteer and help his friends a lot, despite getting scoldings from his family, sir. Likewise, he volunteered himself with INS Delhi to rescue passengers from the ship. As he is also a trained diver and a national-level swimming participant, they took him, sir. But...during the rescue, he sacrificed his life, sir."

After telling all this, Praveen asked, "For what are we here, Raijv sir?"

"Praveen. After a few days of this disaster, to recover the bodies of the college students and passengers, people protested to the government, right?"

"Yes sir."

"We are going to recover their body," said Rajiv. With the crane, the team lifted the ship under the sea at a depth of just 43 meters. Till now, 199 dead bodies have been recovered from that ship. Most of the bodies were decomposed. They were too much prey for fish. Five more dead bodies are still missing.

At the same time, Rajiv abandons his search for Signet ring after hearing Adhithya-Sowmiya's story from Praveen. Alone on the stern of INS Indrajith, Praveen takes the Signet ring, which has been in his possession all along, and drops it into the sea over the wreck site.

While Praveen is seemingly asleep in his bed, his photos on the dresser depict a life of freedom and adventure inspired by Adhithya. Adhithya reunites with Sowmiya at the Vipasa's Grand Staircase, applauded by those who died that night.

EPILOGUE

"Those students should have jumped bravely. But since they were college students, they respected the captain's words and stayed. Finally, they were deceived by the captain's words and lost their lives. When the accident happened and the crew member announced not to move, Meenakshi said in a similar incident that only those who did not follow the instructions survived. That is what happened here also. Not only did the day coincide with the Titanic, but the same thing that happened to the Titanic will happen to the INS Vipasa ship. No one would have dreamed of it."

"So Readers. What do you think about this story? What is your opinion about what the captain and the crew member did? What is your opinion about Adhithya and Sowmiya's love? Without listening to the captain, if other people came up and jumped into the sea, they would be saved. Comment with your opinions about that. Also, comment on your favourite characters without forgetting."
