APRIL 1992

 

AJMER, RAJASTHAN

 

All the people in the Ajmer district of Rajasthan were living happily. When it was like this one day in the month of April in 1992, a man was walking in the street, and in that street, people were looking at him with a disgusting look. He was walking in confusion about why people were looking at him like that. At the same time, his wife also came into the street opposite him. He noticed that she was crying with a photo in her hand. He immediately ran and stopped her.

 

When he got and saw the photo in his wife's hand, as soon as he saw that, he also started crying. Since it was their daughter's nude photo without any dres. It was just the beginning. Because after that, not only this person, but all the people's happiness in Ajmer district turned into sadness.

 

Suddenly, the girls who were studying in schools and colleges started to commit suicide one by one. Without knowing why it was happening, the parents of the dead girls were heartbroken. At the same time, marriages have been fixed for some of the girls. Normally, if a marriage is fixed, people from the bride or groom's side will inquire about the bride or groom with the people of that village or city. But here the people from the groom's side will go to the press officer in Ajmer, and there they will give the photo of the girl who he was about to marry and ask, "Whether the girl's nude photos have come to the press office before." If her photos were not there, they would believe that she was a good girl.

 

After that, only marriage started to happen for those girls. With just a photo, they were judging the character of girls. Like this, at that time, the situation of the girls in Ajmer was very bad. Because at that time, the nude photos of many girls started to leak among the people. Many girls were heartbroken because of the shame and committed suicide.

 

"Why is it happening like this? Who is taking these photos?" When people inquired about what was happening in that area, they found something strange. There is unity among the girls who committed suicide. There was a common thing among all those girls. All those girls were studying at the same college and school. After that, when people inquired more, some of the girls were bravely alive even though their photos had been leaked, and the dark truth behind those leaked photos came out through those girls. They started to tell it to their parents openly.

 

A group in Ajmer was blackmailing and raping girls. After that, they threatened the girls and took photos. This shocking news came out. Immediately, the parents who learned about them went to the police station to file a complaint. Since the criminals and their families were big politicians in Ajmer, the police hesitated to hear the complaints.

 

All the criminals were Muslims and the girls who were raped and killed were Hindus. If the public came to know about this, it would create a huge religion issue. Keeping this in mind, the police didn't take any action. When even the police were afraid to take action, a newspaper printed the photo of the criminals directly and published a big article. After that, it became sensational news in India.

 

Even after that, since the police didn't take any action, people started to protest. Due to this, a huge riot started in Ajmer. The victims who were affected by the criminals were not one or two girls. They raped and took nude photos of more than 250 girls.

 

In 1992, a lot of countries were facing a lot of problems. But at the same time, in India, we were facing this type of problem. But in Indian history, most people don't know about this incident. Because the police and politicians together tried very hard to hide this incident of Ajmer from Indian history, since the media took the risk, this news was known by the people.

 

In 1990, in Ajmer district, there was a girls school called Sophia. A girl named Mythili Singh was studying 12th grade at that school. She has a dream of becoming a great politician. When it was like this, a boy named Farooq Chisthi was watching Mythili go to school. Since he liked Mythili very much, he thought of making Mythili love him.

 

Here, Mythili is not the original name. (I am mentioning her as Mythili.)

 

Farooq started following Mythili daily without her knowledge. In doing so, he came to know that a businessman's son, Ajay, was Mythili's friend. Knowing this, Farooq kidnapped Ajay. After the kidnapping, he asked him to introduce him to Mythili. He started to threaten him with his nude photos.

 

The next day, Mythili and her sister were going through the market. On the other side, a Maruti van was coming. Seeing Ajay inside the van, Mythili said hi, and Ajay stopped the van and introduced Farooq, Nafis, and Anwar to Mythili as his new friends.

 

Seeing them, Mythili was shocked by the surprise. Since the three of them were very famous in Ajmer City, like celebrities, Who were they to be famous means, to a famous Dargah in Ajmer, a family was in charge for generations. These three belong to that family.

 

Farooq Chisti is the president of the Indian Youth Congress. Nafis is the vice president, and Anwar is the joint secretary of Congress. Mythili, who was already interested in politics, asked them if they could arrange a position for her in politics. Since they are from a big politician's family,

 

Those who were waiting to talk with her got a chance like this. It was very convenient for them. After that, Farooq and Mythili started meeting alone to talk about politics. This relationship, as the days passed, turned into love.

 

When it was like this one day, Farooq took Mythili to a secluded place to be alone. While speaking with her, Farooq went near her and said, "Mythu."

 

"What?"

 

"I love how you look right now. Your body is amazing. I want you to feel absolutely incredible. All I want to do is worship every inch of your body. Just lay back and feel my hands all over your soft skin."

 

Farooq started playing with Mythili through her fingers. As she hesitated in fear, he started running his fingers through her arms and legs. Now Farooq massaged her back. He kissed her neck and cheek. Licking her ears, Farooq kissed her collarbone. After kissing her lips softly, Farooq kissed her lips more passionately with his tongue. Running his hands through Mythili's hair, he caressed her face.

 

After kissing her face, Farooq proceeds to run his hands on Mythili's body: outer thighs, inner thighs, stomach, waist, ass, chest, and breasts. He traced her hips and waistline with his fingers. Now he lifted her to the bedroom.

 

Kissing her stomach, breasts, and pantyline, Farooq took off Mythili's churidar. He slowly touched her skirts with his fingers and tore it off. After toring away her skirts, Farooq sensually removed Mythili's bikini while looking her eyes. After making her naked, he removed his dress. Massaging her neck with his body, Farooq aggressively kissed everywhere of her body.

 

Both Farooq and Mythili spent their time together having s*x with the help of a blanket. After this, both Mythili and Farooq were often involved in s*xual activities.

 

With an evil laugh, Farooq said to himself, "I successfully trapped an innocent girl through Love Jihad" when Mythili was sleeping on top of his body. He was glad that Mythili couldn't leave him easily.

 

As days passed, Farooq started hating Mythili. When it was like this one day, Mythili got ready and was walking to school. When she was going, Farooq and Nafis were following her from behind.

 

Now they both asked her to get in the van and said, "We will drop you off at the school." Mythili also got inside the van by believing them. But the van started going beyond the school. In panic, she asked to stop the van as they had crossed the school.

 

For that, Farooq said: "To apply for the position you asked for, we have to file an application form, Mythu. Also, a passport-size photo is required. So we are going to take the photo. After taking the photo, we will drop you off at school."

 

Hearing this, Mythili also said okay. But the photo that they were going to take is not only going to change the fate of Mythili. But it is going to change the fate of a lot of girls. At that time, she didn't know that.

 

Mythili didn't know that the incident that is going to happen next is going to have an unforgettable place in Ajmer history. Now the van went away from the area and stopped near the farmhouse.

 

Now Farooq said to Mythili, "Mythu. Before taking the photo, Nafis said he wanted to talk urgently with you about politics. An application form is also in his house." He took Mythili inside the house. After leaving her behind, Farooq left that place, saying that he had some work.

 

Mythili and Nafis were alone in that room. Mythili, who was thinking that Nafis was going to talk about politics, was in for a big shock. When she went inside in a few minutes, Nafis tried to rape her.

 

Mythili pushed him away and tried to escape. But Nafis pulled her hand away, dragged her inside, and closed the door.

 

"If you don't accept, I will kill you here," said Nafis. He made her naked by removing her uniform dress, pants, and underwear. Now, Nafis has started raping Mythili. After everything was over, he took nude photos of her. After that, Nafis threatened her with those photos for a long time.

 

Farooq, Nafis, and Anwar ruthlessly raped Mythili by continuing to keep her in a nude condition. At one stage, to prevent photos from leaking, they blackmailed her to introduce her friends to them. She was afraid to tell this to her parents. Without any choice, like they said, Mythili brought a friend with her. Until going there, her friend also didn't know anything about it.

 

When she went there, Farooq dragged Mythili's friend inside the room. After taking off her sari, underwear, and bikini completely, Farooq, Nafis, and his Muslim friends ruthlessly gang-raped her despite hearing the screams and pleads of Mythili's friend to spare her. After raping her brutally, Farooq took nude photos of her. Since Farooq and his gang threatened that friend, like Mythili, she also introduced her friend to them. This continued like a chain. Not only the school girls but also the college girls who got caught by them threatened them with the photos and asked them to introduce their friends.

 

When Farooq and his gang were doing this, some girls committed suicide because of stress. Since all the girls belong to the same school and college, big politicians in that area, and big shots in society, all their attention turned towards Sophia School. They learned about the secrets of Farooq and his gang.

 

Instead of taking action on them and saving the girls, they started to get involved in the rape along with Farooq's gang. As the days passed, a lot of people in Ajmer came to know about this. Many men who knew about this started threatening those girls. Knowing about this photo matters; without the nude photo, they acted like they had that nude photo and said that they were Farooq's gang.

 

"I am his driver. Farooq sent me." Like this, a lot of people lied and raped those girls by threatening them. Milkman, tea master, and Old Man—like this, a lot of men who knew about this started to threaten and rape those girls.

 

When I was thinking about justice for these girls, that day came. Like how it started with the photo, now with the same photo, the solution also came. Like now, taking photos at that time was not an easy process. All the cameras in the 90 have reels in them. After taking the photo, it will be stored on the reel, and that reel is called the negative. After that, they will give that negative to the colour lab and convert it into a photo. These three usually give those negatives to Ajmer Colour Lab and convert them into photos.

 

A photographer named Purushothaman took all those photos and gave them One day, Purushothaman's friend Devander went to the studio and unexpectedly saw a porn magazine.

 

For that, Purushothamman said, "I had better photos than this da." He showed the photos of some girls to him.

 

Devander, without saying anything, got some copies of those photos and left the place. He gave all those copies straight to the reporters. Santhosh Gupta, who was working in the Nava Jothi press, got those photos. He immediately started watching what was happening at Sophia School and College. In that, he found out about Farooq gang members doings. He directly contacted a victim over the phone and collected many details.

 

Santhosh learned the shocking truth that some of the victims were IAS and IPS officers' daughters. Since IAS and IPS officers' daughters were victims in this, knowing all this, all the other press were hesitant to publish these photos. Even though some police officers knew about this before, they didn't care about it.

Now the reporter Santhosh Gupta blurred the girl's photo he had and the criminals who were involved in this: Farooq, Nafis, Anwar, Nishrad Ali, Salim, Parvez Ansari, Harris, Shakeel, and Purushothaman. Like this, he put all the photos together and put a headline: "For the last two years, how much pain were the girls undergoing?" He prepared the news as a big article and bravely published it on May 15, 1992.

 

At the same time, a reporter named Madhan Singh handed over all the photos to the police. When this news came out, a big riot started in Ajmer.

 

"There is no chance of something happening like this. Who will talk against us? What we are saying is the law." When Farooq and his gang were thinking like this, this news came out. They were shattered. All their anger turned towards the reporters. Immediately, to kill those two reporters, Farooq sent some people.

 

Knowing where the reporter, Madan Singh, was, Farooq's people went there and shot him to death. After a big riot happened in Ajmer, among the 250 victims, 13 girls were ready to file a complaint against Farooq. But after the murder of the reporter, Farooq's gang started to threaten those girls on the phone and in person. Those 13 girls among the 250 victims who were ready to complain are now reduced to three members, and due to shame, one girl committed suicide during the investigation.

 

Since the police were coming to their house often, another girl's relatives, neighbours, and the people of that area treated her and her family like she and her parents had made some mistakes. They looked at them disgustingly and treated the girl's family the worst. Unable to bear these tortures, the girl's family left the town.

 

Finally, among the 250 victims, only one girl named Pushpa Dhanwani bravely made the complaint. According to the complaint, a total of 18 people were arrested in this case, but the main accused, Farooq, was arrested in February 2007.

 

15 years later, in 2007, he was arrested, and seven years later, in September 2013, the Rajasthan High Court released Farooq by saying that he was mentally unstable. While the next important accused were arrested in pocso. They came out on bail within five years. Farooq's community has not even questioned his atrocities against Hindu girls. Instead, they welcomed him back with celebrations in Ajmer Dargah.

 

 

EPILOGUE

 

Islamists use love jihad as a weapon to trap Hindu girls, often to the extent of no return. Most people don't know that this type of incident happened in India. But when this came out in the newspaper about how much influence the criminals had, they were daring to rape these many girls casually. And each time the girls were raped and posed for photos, they would not take photos of them individually.

 

The criminals will press their chests, and with the smiling pose, they will take the photo. Like this, they have taken a lot of poses with a lot of girls. Think about the thoughts of those girls at that time. They were suffering unbearable pain.

 

The saddest thing about this is that they were undergoing this pain for two years. This news came out because of reporter Santhosh. If he didn't take the risk, all these truths would be hidden from the history of India.

 

A lot of families sacrificed the education of their girls and pulled them out of school. A lot of them moved from Ajmer. When their daughters' names surfaced in this case, they were forced to change their names. They made several requests to advocates, journalists, police, and others not to reveal their daughters' names, as in that case they would never get married. From 1992 to 1996, it had become difficult to get girls married. Ajmer's girls had to leave the town to get married.

 

After this incident, all the families in Ajmer stopped scolding their daughters. Even if they fail the exam, they won't be scolded. Most importantly, they allowed their daughters to marry the person they loved. Why did they act like this? After this incident, did they start to love their daughters more? Did all the parents start to give importance to the daughters? No. It's not like that. They did all this to prevent their daughters from committing suicide. There is selfishness in that. Because if a girl commits suicide in their house, that girl might be a victim in that case. That's why the girl died. Like this, they will seclude that family from that area. They will avoid talking to them to protect their family from this situation. Whatever their daughter says, they will accept without asking questions.

 

Most of the victims in this case, without being able to come out, went abroad and started living there. But Farooq and his gang, who destroyed the lives of many girls, are still living happily in Ajmer among the people.
