Ruthless Love

Kali Valley ridge's distance wasn't much but I was a little disturbed by Bela's outrageous behavior. She called up two hours ago and wanted to meet me at Kali Vally's ridge immediately. She even warned if I don't come her father's men shall bring me to her but that might be insulting for me.

Being a playboy, I couldn't stick to only one girl much longer. So many girls. so many broken hearts were my milestones in these twenty years-long love journey. At forty my adventurous mind still wants more and more girls around me. Meeting Bela wasn't an exceptional thing, she was another next girl for me. I wanted to spend some quality time her as she was exceptionally beautiful. Soon I realized she was very possessive and have decided to spend her life with me.

"Babe why so possessive? Give me some space and enjoy yours." —I tried to reason with her.

"Mr. Sid I'm no kid I like you and won't let you go so easily no matter if I have to use my father's power. Just break up with me, and see the consequences." —Bela warned me instead of understanding me. I was a little worried about her gangster father's powers, her father Deva was notorious to kill people like flies.

But I knew human nature is as unsteady as the seawater. Someday she'll find another man and that might be the end of this tiresome bond of love.

At thirty-five she was desperate to become a bride a wife and a mother of so many children. She was still beautiful but her beauty was withering by the passing time. She was a sweet girl but I was the wrong man for her, marriage and family things were a far cry for me. She was so mad she even warned me to take my life and give her life for this love. It was all fun for me.

A few days ago, I came across Nita and started dated her. I was at City Mall to dine with her and all of sudden Bela came there and lose her control finding me with another girl.

"You cheater what the hell are you doing with this degenerated women?" —shouted Bela.

"Babe why are you getting hyper, we just came across her and there is nothing between us." —I tried to calm her.

"Be clean Mr. Sid, just a wrong step and we'll both be history." —said Bella with her tearful eyes.

I knew she was serious and she was capable to do it without any hesitation. So, I decided to be in a low profile for a while and got rid of Nita.

The rugged ravines of Valley were deceitful.

Why she wanted me to meet her at that blasted place?

My classic contessa was also a little irritating at the rough road of the Valley. Finally, I reached the ridge and saw Bela was out there with her land rover. There were one folding table and two folding chairs. One of the chairs was occupied by Bela who has put on big goggles.

"Come on Sid, hope you have gotten rid of that white scum........" —said Bela indicating me to sit on the empty chair.

"Why Bela; what is this all about? -I asked irritatingly looking at the two bottles of wine and two empty glasses placed on the table.

"Sid you dirty scum you even don't remember we met three months ago on this date......." —said she a little loud.

"Okay, what is special about this day?" —asked I controlling my anger.

"Sid since you started ignoring me, I feel so lonely, in fact, I'm so lonely without you." —said Bela with her tearful eyes.

"Bela life is a gift we ought to enjoy it fullest....be free and let me fly like a free bird." —said I.

"So you want to be free from me?" —asked Bela.

"Yes, Bela...." —said I.

"I knew you are desperate to get rid of me; so, there is no reason to stop you and how could I stop you. I'm unlucky that I couldn't get you as my husband and couldn't become a wife and a mother......any way lets enjoy this parting......" —said Bela with tearful eyes.

"Why the celebration? But as you wish......" —said I hiding my happiness.

"Sid it seems you are very happy, no big issue now. Anyway, I brought these two bottles of wine one for our reunion and another for our parting. If it was our reunion, I'd have chosen the wine bottle but since we are parting now this is your chance to choose the wine bottle to pour it in the glasses, drink and leave forever." -said she with a faded smile on her face.

"Why this idiotic game let's drink and part......" —said I choosing one the bottle uncorked the bottle and pour wine in the glasses for both of us.

We both tossed and drank the rubbish drink.

"Should I go now?" —asked I.

"Yeah sure Sid." -said she while finishing her wine.

I got up but a sudden spell of dizziness forced me to sit on the chair but I go up again and just after moving a few yards I felt dizzy again.

"What the hell is this?" —I asked to myself.

"Hey Sid one of the wine bottles had poison in it, it was meant for our parting and another was normal and meant for our reunion. And your instinct guided you to choose the poisoned wine bottle; isn't it the poetic justice? But don't be afraid of this dizziness you won't die before 45 minutes, so run for your life.... I'll also run for my life......let's run this race of life, ha...ha.... ha...." —she laughed like a lunatic woman and ran towards her car.

I cursed that lunatic woman and entered my car, started it and pushed the gas paddle frantically to cover the 45-kilometer distance to reach the Will City Medicare where they could treat me for this unknown poison. It was really a race of life. My dizziness was blurring my eyes but I was hopeful that with speed I could go to the city within 30 minutes. But suddenly my eyes blurred and I came off the road and stuck in the loose sand. I was pushing the gas paddle like a mad man but the car was badly stuck in the loose sand.

Soon Bela's car came she was driving normally, she stopped for a while and shouted— "Run Sid for your life otherwise we'll meet in the hell."

She laughed like a mad woman and sped away.

It was almost impossible for me took my car out of the sand now. I came out of the car and started running a race of life which I could never complete.
