In the old streets of London, two friends used to live. One of them was George Wellington and the other was Richard Wells. From childhood two of the friends were raised like brothers. Both of them loved each other a lot. George was four years elder than Richard. Richard was an intelligent boy and he loved to research while his friend was just the opposite. After graduation, they both decided to do something for their future. Richard wanted to explore the world and solve the mystery that is why he joined the archaeological survey of England. George who was always the opposite of Richard owned his family business. Their thoughts were indistinguishable but still they shared a great camaraderie. It was a month later when Richard got an old torn diary while excavating near an old archeological spot.

He took the diary home and read it the whole night. The diary contained some kind of a mystery which Richard wanted to solve. He discovered that the diary was nearly 400 years old and it was written by a sailor who was profound for his proficiency during that time. Richard indulged his time in researching on that diary. He was sometimes so hedonist that he forgot to pay heed to anything else. There were riddles that were written in some other language. He went to the British Library to learn that language. It took him another month to decode the language as he was an astute person. Soon he solved the riddle and got to know that the diary was about the treasure which the sailor had stockpiled during his existence. He rushed in excitement to his best pal George and told him that he was about to crack a mystery. He added that he wanted George to be a part of his expedition. George was also very excited. On the following day a plan of action was taken for their exploration. It was found that the sailor had hidden his treasure in an island which was obscured from the whole world. Both the friends and the archaeological team worked hard to reveal the secret written on the diary. Two months passed, with no result, all the members except Richard gave up hopes and decided to terminate the research. George was not a researcher, but he still didn’t give up as he thought that it would hurt his friend.

Soon after 2 months of their excavation, the enigma was finally detected and a map to the treasure was found in that same excavating spot. It was initiated that the treasure was located in an ambiguous island located near the North Sea. Both the friends were excited for the vocation. A detailed plan was made that day. Both of them decided to travel by the dint of a small ship which they would take from the port. A substantial list was also made for the things, they would take and it was eventually decided that they would set off their journey the next day. Finally it was the day of their vocation and both the friends seemed very excited from the morning. They both hired a car and went towards the port. It was an hour later when they reached the port. After reaching they swiftly went inside the ship and asked the captain to commence shortly. The captain was an indolent man and he came slowly. Soon the ship commenced and the left the port within a short period of time. Both the friends enjoyed the scenic beauty of the sea, but that enjoyment didn’t last for long as in the evening there was a menacing storm.

However no one was harmed. The ship sailed hastily and within 2-3 days they reached the obscured island. Both the friends and the indolent captain got off the ship and went inside the island. The captain joined their excavation without their consent and both the friends didn’t notice that at first. Later George perceived it but didn’t say anything to the captain. Slowly after 2 -3 hours of walk were then in the middle of the island. George in curiosity asked Richard, ‘we are walking for such a long time, are we on the right track?’, Richard confidently replied, ‘yes I guess we are on the right track’. The captain thought of telling something in the mid but he couldn’t do it as he was not getting any good thing to say. Both the friends and the captain finally arrived at the excavating spot and thought of excavating the next day as it was already dark. They decided to sleep in the tent that night. The captain thanked Richard for carrying an extra tent. That night one more thing happened which frightened the three men.

It was nearly midnight when all the three were awakened by a strange noise. Richard showed his bravery and went out of the tent first, with his rifle and caught sight of an animal which flabbergasted him. It was a weird creature with strange eyes and teeth. Richard was dumbstruck and he quietly returned to the tent. George and the captain asked him curiously, ’what is the matter Richard, why are you dumbstruck?’, Richard drank a glass of water and narrated the whole thing swiftly. Both of them were astounded. The creature again came near their tent and growled loudly. Slowly after sometime it sniffed round the tent and went away. The three men were so agitated that they excavated early in the morning the next day and left the island instantly. While sailing back they were contented but also aghast.

7 days of excavation and research had made them very fatigued and tired so they planned to take a small break. After the break, they handed the treasure to the archaeological survey of England and there it was found that the discovery made by them was one of the best discoveries of that time. They were granted a prize for the discovery and their names were also printed on the newspapers and magazines.
