Reading a book

It is by far the easiest decision I have taken today, reading a book is far more enjoyable than watching a film.

The legendary writer Ernest Hemingway said: There is no friend as loyal as a book. How true. Ever since man learnt how to write, books have become the first choice for great men to pen their thoughts.

The history of human civilization would be incomplete without the wealth of information that is contained in books. Poets, philosophers, visionaries, critics, scientists, and historians have created a huge kaleidoscope of knowledge bank which is contained in books.

Libraries across the world and in a small way our library in St Joseph college provide an opportunity for reading the vast diversity of books.

Watching a film is just a dream which cannot be compared with the pleasure of reading a book.
