Purification of emotions
Purification of emotions

During one of my psychoanalysis classes, I discovered a new word in French that describes a function of many other features of the dreaming phenomenon. The word is “cathartique” which means purification of emotions, so when we dream, our psyche purifies itself of all the emotions we've experienced throughout the day. Since then, this word has quickly become one of my favourites, and I believe that writing has had a similar effect on me.
I discovered my love for writing when I was 16 years old, or almost 4 years ago, and ever since, I find it best to express myself this way. Some people refer to me as an old soul, and I like to think of myself that way because it's not always easy for me to fit in or be understood. However, it is so effortless to take a step back from reality and take on the role of a new character in a different story. I frequently find myself in my imaginary world, which is filled with hope, happiness, love, and peace, and I embrace that aspect of my personality.
