Practice What You Preach

Once upon a time, there was a pandit in a village who had 5 boys as children. All were Brahmins and were taught moral lessons since childhood so that they can turn into fine human beings.

One morning he was teaching them the importance of mother and how she is the beginning of the world and how all creatures run in this world because of her. She is the creator.

That very evening, he started hitting his wife because she did not cook well, all five of his children repeated his words and started boxing him. This made the Pandit realize that he has to do what he preaches first.

Moral: Mahatma Gandhi had said: "Practice what you preach"
