Planet Peace
Planet Peace
I had just returned home after dropping my family at the airport when something bizarre happened. My home started spinning at a tremendous speed. It hovered for a while and then slowly started flying. Whoa! Before I could figure out anything, it turned into a spaceship! I peeped out of the window and saw that my house is moving towards space. I got scared and held on for dear life.
After a few minutes, my house, now a spaceship, landed on a green surface and I found myself stranded on a different planet. Still trying to understand how my house turned into a spaceship and how I reached here, I felt excited and fearful at the same time.
I walked out of the spaceship. I didn’t find even a single human there. But I noticed a lot of greenery and animals around. The trees and the animals were in perfect harmony. The air was amazingly fresh. So, I thought of settling down on this planet which I had just named ‘Peace’ after its calm and peaceful environment.
However, Peace was lonely, very lonely. Yesterday, I was watching the news where the reporter was telling me that loneliness affects mental health and can lead to depression and anxiety. I didn’t want to be alone. So, I decided to go back to Earth and bring my family here. It was a perfect place to live!
I went back to Earth, packed few supplies, and brought my family to Peace. It didn’t take me much time to convince them to settle here. They too fell in love with Peace and were in awe of it. We built a home using the supplies and started living in Peace.
Many years have passed since we have settled on Peace. Everything is going smoothly. We keep visiting Earth to check if everything is fine. We have made a rule. Everyone has to spend 10 years on Earth and the next 10 years on Peace and so on. This way no planet will get over-populated.
Now, there is a whole city on Peace. The ecosystem is balanced on both planets. We follow the SDGs on Peace too. We’re now known as the Guardians of Peace on Earth. The two planets are finally sustainable.
I hope everything goes like this forever. Well, my family is calling me. It has been 19 years since I saw my sister. Today she will return. I have to take your leave. Bye!
