The Baffling Alarm Clock

Priya was an early riser just like her mother. Most of the days, she would wake up at 6'o clock. But today, when the alarm clock rang she rubbed her eyes and realized that she had woken up at 8'o clock! Her online classes started at 8:30. She was going to be late! She rushed to the bathroom, quickly brushed her teeth, and had a bath. Just as she was coming down to eat breakfast, she could hear footsteps. They were getting louder and louder. By now she could see a shadow. Priya got scared. She hid behind her bed. She could see a large oval face with blue eyes and a triangular nose. It was wearing a smile and calling her name. Then it said in a soft tone, "Priya! Where are you? It's 6:30!". Priya got confused. She stood up a little to see the face more clearly. It was her mother! She stood up completely so that her mother could see her. 

She said, "Mom I'm here. But how is it 6:30? My alarm clock was showing 8'o clock." 

Her mother said, "I and my father forgot to tell that your alarm clock was baffling."

Priya and her mother laughed heartily till their stomach started aching.
