Never Touched Heart

Sharn High School had 800 plus students studying from Nursery to 12th, with Good Environment, Excellent Qualified and highly experienced Teachers, Two Big play Grounds with all Sports Material.

Students were given good study material, cyclostyled notes, and important points, etc..

After a lot of hard work and preparation, the exams went well but when the result time came, very fewer students scored good grades and rest all were just pass.

The principal called the staff meeting and was very upset with the scores. Each teacher was given a chance to speak for the betterment of students. Some teachers blamed that the students were always distracted in the class. Some of them told they are using Gadgets late nights and due to lack of sleep, they are losing interest in the subjects. Some blamed parents, that they don't look after their children.

Miss Suzie was a young teacher recently passed out graduate was also given a chance to speak. All were staring her as she doesn't have much experience in the field, what will she say?

She started, "you all are senior to me and highly experienced, but, as per my analysis we are using the old methods of teaching where the kids have no interest to learn”. She questioned,” Have you seen a bow and arrow game? When an Archer pulls an arrow and he is distracted he will never hit the point whereas he is keen to hit the point, he will hit in a shot. I just told this to know our kids need new methods of learning. Audio-visual learning, project-based, Activity-based, skits, 3D models and interactive learning. In short, we should touch their heart. If they read with heart and mind with full concentration and not just mugging they will never forget the subject for their life."

Principal and all the senior teachers had a discussion about her thought and after a long discussion, Miss Suzie was called in the Principal’s Cabin. He said, "Miss Suzie, There are a lot of pros and cons in your idea, but I am with you, I want you to guide us with your ideas and re design the curriculum and teaching styles.

She agreed to it and did a lot of Smart Work, She involved the teachers and students with some motivational lectures and explaining the students with concepts and models, where instead of mugging they learned to write the answers on their own, and after a year they got 100 percent result and many toppers in the list who scored 10/10.

***Never underestimate a fresher. Always give a chance to them to prove their talent and change the growing organization Schemes with fast-changing world***
