Eye Opener By Eye Specialist

Sheena had a problem in eye. It was continuously twitching every hour or sometimes three to four times a day. The irritation in her eye became the irritation in her life. She was angry with everyone, the eye nerve started twitching every five to ten minutes. Her sister referred her to an Eye Specialist who was highly experienced.

It was Saturday 12^th October Sana called Sheena at 7:00 A.M in the Morning.

Sheena booked the Cab and picked her sister Sana, both of them went to see the Doctor early morning. She saw the board Dr.D.Lakshmanaswami Reddy (M.S., D.O).

They went inside, to their surprise, there were more than 45 patients waiting in the room. Their turn was 46.One by one Patients were going in and giving lot of blessings to him. Some had tears in their eyes and some were very relaxed after meeting him. Sheena was very curious to meet the Doctor. She started enquiring people about the Doctor. Sana said I know him since Twenty four years, he is a very Pious man and always gives treatment for no fees. Sheena jumped “Come on! Are you kidding?”

“No, I am not”, Said Sana.

They were called inside for checkup. Sheena sat in front of the Doctor. She asked if she can get few minutes to know about him. Doctor Smiled and said to proceed. She asked, “Sir, May I know something about you and your background? In this modern era, I hardly see any people doing free service. What made you do this and how you got this thought?”

He replied, ”I am 93 year old person, my wife is a Radiologist, we have only one daughter, she is a Professor in Stanford University in United States. We are from Kadapa district and settled in Hyderabad. My father died at an age of 45, my mother was a very brave woman, she assisted Vinobha Bhave in Bhoodan Movement and gave her gold bangles to Gandhiji and team to use it for the freedom of our Country. My parents always taught me to love the Country and love Indians. I am treating, eighty to hundred patients on an average for more than 50 years every day morning and evening. Now my health is not that good as I am growing old, so I am taking rest on Sundays. We are adding Dental Doctors and Ortho Doctors to our Clinic to give more service to the needy”

Sheena was Surprised to know about him.

He checked the eyes and replied in a soft tone your vision is good take these eye drops and medicine apply it thrice a day. No need for any Blood tests and all, if you go to any other doctors they will suggest you for Neuro Scan and N Number of tests. You are healthy, Just take good Sleep, Avoid Stress, Give Smile, Love human and Spread Humanity.

Patients were waiting for their turn, so they had to leave the Clinic.
