Never give up

     Amar had intrest in the cricket since childhood. From plastic ball, rubber ball, tennis ball now he was playing with the season ball in national cricket matches. He was the best opener with many records with his bat. Finally he was selected for the international cricket team. 

That was his first international one day cricket match. He came as opener batsman. Unfortunately he got out on the first ball. Inspite of his failure he got chance for the second and third match. However his performance in both the matches was poor. They lost the series also. Media criticized his performance badly. He was totally disappointed. His dream of bringing his team on the top washed away Negative thoughts made him uncomfortable. 

    On the dining table while taking dinner, he told his daddy about taking drop from cricket

 line and selecting another line for future career. His daddy replied very gently “ dear son, this is your life and whatever decision you will take, I am with you. But my personal opinion is that you should not give up playing cricket which you like most. I know that it's difficult to digest failure. For the another line, whatsoever you choose, you will have to gain full

knowledge of the same and there are chances that after gaining knowledge and applying in practical, you may be looser. Instead learn from your mistakes and try again in cricket. However if you have finally decided to quit, don't hesitate.”

      Amar seeing his father's trust in him started again with the cricket. He started practising very hard. After three months there was once again five match international series was there with another strong cricket playing country. As expected he was not selected, but without taking it into mind, he continued his practice. 

A day before the first match, one of the selected team player got injured and surprisingly he got chance to play. 

      This time believing in the miracle of God and his father's trust ,he pulled the very first ball over the fence for six runs. He was then unstoppable and scored unbeaten maiden century. They won the match. While receiving

‘ Man Of The Match ‘ award he called his father on the stage and handing him the trophy he 

said“ This performance was the blessing of God and my dearest father's trust in me”.
