Once Japanese Prime Minister Tojo was giving his speech in which he said that Netaji would free India and the country would prosper under the able leadership of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.

Netaji instantly stood there protesting and said that they may free India but the leader of the country would be decided by the countrymen themselves!

Tojo understood what Netaji was trying to say and apologized promptly.

Such was the selfless attitude of Netaji. He never wanted anything in return for his struggle for independence. He was a true son of the soil!
