Nature Won't Let You Feel Alone

Nitya was throwing away a lot of papers. Some went into the dustbin, some went under the bed, some under the table itself, and some went directly out of the room.

In the meantime, Swasti came. Swasti has settled abroad and she came to India two days ago.

When Nitya heard her voice, she was numb. For a minute, she got confused...whether Swasti was in real or she was hallucinating.

Nitya ran towards her. She hugged her tightly and cried her heart out, which she was holding for more than 10 months. Swasti asked her the reason. She simply said that she missed her a lot.

Swasti saw the mess around them and was shocked. Because Nitya was a cleanliness freak, she didn't expect that from her.

Nitya tried to explain her, "Listen, don't go shocked, please, I was frustrated."

"What you mean by you are frustrated? It doesn't mean you can show this frustration upon that innocent paper."

"I am sorry. "

"You are not sorry, because you are actually sorry. You are sorry to get rid of my scolding as soon as possible. If I won't be here...I won't come to know about this."

"Hey..."

"What hey..you know, I am such sensitive towards all this. I am working on some projects on the environment ....and here my best friend is destroying that paper. Do you even know..how much trees are been cut, to get this paper? And moreover, half the population doesn't get the blessing to write on this paper..and you are simply destroying so many papers."

"I am sorry, but please calm down. I will take care of it. Please don't freak out."

"So what were you doing?"

"Nothing."

"Yeah. I can see that..."

"Actually, I was trying to write a story..."

"And then??"

"I couldn't."

" So, write something on us, our friendship."

"Yeah. That's a good idea."

"You should go somewhere, where you can feel free to write like some park or waterfall, you know where you can get positive vibes.

Firstly, let's go somewhere out. I am hungry. "

"Sure, my dear. Tell me, what you wanna have?"

"You are saying as if you don't know. I am that old Swasti only. Don't forget my taste."

"I remember."

They went to some restaurant. Unluckily (according to Nitya) they found their schoolmates, which were in college with Swasti.

All of them knew that Swasti was in India.

This thing hurt Nitya. Swasti was her best friend but she was spending more time and was happier with her other friends. Nitya went to the washroom, to wipe off her tears.

That day was tough for her. But, some truth was still there to unfold.

Nitya heard Shalini talking to someone about Swasti and her boyfriend.

"What ?? Swasti even has a boyfriend!!! Why she hide this from me? Even I had told her about Sahil, my boyfriend. Why she did hide? Did she really choose not to tell me? But why??

And moreover, she hides it from me, but her so-called close friends knew about it..."

She felt backstabbed.

Only she knew, how she had stayed there.

She returned home with broken strings of friendship, she was holding. She decided to talk to her. But, Swasti covered it so well that nobody can doubt her.

Nitya was frustrated, and she lost temper and told Swasti that, they are not friends anymore...

Swasti asked the reason. She didn't get any answer. And then, both of them blamed each other for their broken friendship. But she didn't ask about the things she knew, which Swasti hide.

Nitya cried a lot. She went to some roadside place, where she was aloof. She was surrounded by green trees and grass.

She remembered Swasti saying,

"Nature won't let you feel alone."

And she did realise it at that time.
