My life

Let me introduce you all to my best friend, alter ego and soul sister, she is none other than my Nani. We overcame obstacles and come this far with her innocence on her face and as my partner in crime since childhood. There are far too many inappropriate secrets to consider letting her go. But I had to. Without any prior notice or hugs or kisses or goodbyes, just like passing wind, she departed. I won't get into the details as that is not what this tale is about.

We were together all the time. We fought often but at the end of the day, laughed about it and went to sleep. She expressed a lot to me about her childhood, her dreams, how content she is with her life, and how I need to get my life in gear. She was the one who changed my perspective towards life because without her, I would not have recognized what a precious life I was leading and how notable and worthwhile it was to live it with her by my side. We often dressed in matching outfits, had our secrets, our lingo, our magical moments and she, without a doubt, made me smile the most.

She was my witness, who saw me at my worst and went on to love me even more. She was a generous and compassionate woman who constantly prayed for the well being of all. I'll tell you, there is no one like her, and never will be. Fondly I called her Jaan (my life). Now that she is gone, I'm left with a vacuum in my heart, but I'm also reminisced to adore the remembrances she left behind of us both, which I'll have forever and ever.

Here's to have known you and commemorating each and every moment,

"Ms. Aquila Batool, you're the love of my life."
