My Great Grandmother’s Journey to India

My great-grandmother was born in Gujranwala, Pakistan, eleven years back from the partition. This city is very small but it has good educated people. Her name is Sudarshan Kapoor, formerly Sudarshan Khanna. 

She had done very well in school. Her father was a doctor in the Indian army, he had served the first governor of Pakistan aka Mohammad Ali Jinnah as a personal physician to him. The partition happened 11 years later she was born. When the partition happened she had to move to India, but her father stayed back in Pakistan and served the Pakistani army.

She started her personal studies in Delhi, India. After she graduated she started Teachers Training. She had mastered English and history. She had completed her courses and she went forward on being a teacher. Soon later she got married to K.L Kapoor. She had 3 children she named them, Seema, Sunil, and Sameer. Seema aka my Dadi married Indrasen Lamba and she gave birth to 2 kids one my dad aka Abhinav and another my bua aka sumi. She died in 2009 when Michael Jackson died and my parents got married. That death was a very sad Demise for all of the Lamba Family.
