Mother's Lie...

"Can I've 1 more chappati Maa? The sabzi, you've made is so tasty", craving to finish the bowl full of mouthwatering sabzi.

"Yeah! Sure have 2 my dear!", maa passed me 1 chappati.

"Have you made extra chappatis today? Your share is there no?", I asked worriedly.

"Yes! Yes!, today I've prepared extras", you've no my dear!

We finished the delicious menus and glued to Television for a movie. It was Saturday night.

During advertisements, i went up to the kitchen to pour water into the bottle. There i found Maa cooking Saabu Dana secretly.

When i asked her, "Why so?".

She lied to me again with an excuse. The 1st lie was the extra chappati preparation! However, I felt guilty of myself and hugged my Maa tightly. I cried and took a promise from her of truly making extra chappati on delicious sabzi days...so that, we can have tummy filled dinner together.

She laughed heartily and said" I'll prepare extra chappatis no problem, but how will I know on which day...you'll find sabzi delicious!?"

We both laughed out loud ate the last chappati and saabu Dana together as a late night feast.
