Morning Drama

"K, wake up." I nudged her while looking at my phone screen. "See... My friend's girlfriend told him that she's thankful to God that she met him but you never say these things to me. Are you not thankful to God that you met me..?" I asked as innocently as I could.

"I would have been thankful too but only if my boyfriend could let me sleep peacefully." She said without opening her eyes and buried her face into pillow again.

I kept gaping for a while and then said," Okay, you can sleep now but when you wake up be ready with an interesting compliment." 

"I'd better wake up now." She got up and left the room.
