Moon Rabbit

When we were kids, mothers used to tell if you don't eat the food the rabbit from the moon will come and take us away, remember?

There lived a peaceful family in the town of Tempa, it was a small village consisting of about 150 families, every full moon day a kid used to get kidnapped in that village and they were found wrapped in plastic near the village river banks.

This continued to happen for the next year, the villagers were really scared and consulted everyone the police, government, astrologers everyone. Some groups in the village started talking stuff like it is the moon rabbit coming on earth and taking kids away. There was extreme pressure on the police to take this into control, they planned to keep guard on houses which included kids, especially on the night of a full moon day. 

Nothing happened for the next 1 month, the police thought the murderer was scared and had left the village. But after one week about 15 children in the village were kidnapped. Everyone was confused, scared, and devastated. police didn't have a clue what to do, a single person can't kidnap about 15 children at a time.

Then the police thought to look into the records, they wanted to tie the knots, they got the first missing complaint of the village, it was not of a boy but of a headmaster of the village who was 56 years old. His son had registered the complainant.

He was found dead on the banks of the river after 15 days missing of a complaint lodged.  He was tortured and killed by the villagers as they thought he was the one who stole the jewels from the temple of the village. But it was a wealthy family who was running a textile industry in the village who stole the antics.

All those 15 children were related to that family. And the son of that headmaster was an expert in hypnotizing.

The son made the children climb up the tallest building in the village and ask them to fly from the top to catch the moon rabbit. the kids being hypnotized used to jump from there.

The police knowing all this barged into the site and captured him. While taking him to jail the killer said 'leave me or the moon rabbit will come and take you away.'
