Missing you is quiet ✨️

Missing you is quiet ✨️

It doesn't arrive with noise.

It shows up in small, ordinary moments:
a song you'd have loved,
a joke you're not here to laugh at,
a message I type and then delete.

The hardest part isn't the big memories.
It's the habits.
Still wanting to tell you things.
Still turning to share something with someone who isn't there.

People say time heals,
but nobody tells you about the in-between.
The days I'm completely fine,
and then one small thing undoes me.

I don't miss you every minute.
I miss you in the pauses,
when the world goes still
and there's nothing left to cover the space you used to fill.

And the strangest part?
Life keeps going.
I smile, I talk, I get through the day,
while a part of me stays behind,
still listening for your voice.

Maybe that's what missing someone really is:
loving them quietly,
long after the world stops asking. 🤍
