Memories Down The Career Lane
Memories Down The Career Lane
Dear Younger me,
It’s been a long time that we have not spoken. I am missing you. From an extremely introvert school girl to succeed in a crowded corporate world for more than a decade, it has been an enriching journey with varied experiences, learnings and lots of memories.
I remember your shift from an admin department of a small coaching class where there were a total of 5 employees and the office size was a total of 2 cubicles to a big corporate building with 1000 employees around! All friends and family members were worried for you, but your deep-rooted, unshaken confidence and determination (unseen to others) paved way for you!
I am respected today because you were always rooted and humble; irrespective of your wins and achievements. Many a times, the world and the situations demanded you to change. You did adapt to change for your good but there were few basic instincts that you didn’t want to part off with. It ok, in fact, i
t’s perfectly fine to be “You” at times as that’s your strength that helps you sail through difficult times.
There were moments when big challenges came your way and thankfully you didn’t have the time to say no. You thought it’s not your cup of tea, but still you gave your best and excelled in it. I still wonder how it all happened so well. So, always give yourself a chance and you will be surprised with the immense capabilities and potential that will ooze out!
Even today when I feel low and lost, when I feel failed and depressed, when the world falls apart and there seems to be no hope, I look upon you and I think that if you managed it so well from all the odds, I can surely stay strong. You are my inspiration, my strength and my role model. I say to myself Äaina mujhse meri pehli si surat maange” and I smile and move on.
Thanks for being there, today I am strong, happy and content only because of you! I am proud of you and I love you.
