Marks And Education Are Not Same

Marks And Education Are Not Same

"Education is to learn, not to earn!

Marks is to test, not to prove you're best!!"

In recent times, I've been coming across students who're mark minded instead of knowledge. Surprisingly I'm not that kind of person, of course, we can't blame the students for that but actually, we should blame the system. We were always said to score good marks instead of instructions to gain knowledge. Whom we should blame Government, Parents or teachers‽ No, not exactly them to be blamed but us, as the student. Because if we thought we could change the system we would have started to sow the seed of wisdom. We could have focused on learning instead of scoring. But we never did that

even if someone speaks about that "marks won't define your life" we have ignored it just like that.

I've read a quote on the Internet along before stating that "When it comes down to it, the only knowledge that really matters is, how to purify water, how to grow your own food, how to cook, how to build, and how to love. And funnily enough, we're not taught any of it in school... it's almost like they want your head filled with useless crap that will never benefit your life so you're always dependent on government

and corporations..." by, Don Freeman.

Will you agree with that or else will you oppose that? I absolutely agree with that statement. Because education is to qualify you in leading your own life, but not to be taken as a qualification that'll fit you in it and lead your life. When I was at school my parents told me to choose the course I was interested in, not forced me to choose as per their own interests. But nowadays my juniors and their parents were asking me that "Can you suggest us which course will offer the best job and good salary, that even if I work for 5 years I'll be settled in life". Replies for them from me is always " Education is to learn, but not to earn". I agree that we should earn things like respect, loyalty and good name among society but not only marks, money and luxury.

Many countries were developed while we're still developing because we focus on marks and money instead of knowledge and skill. In this inconstant world, remember one day marks won't support you but your knowledge do. If you take two students, one is Topper and another is an average one. And lock them in a room deep down the well, the room has a rope and bucket to escape from the well. The Topper will tie the rope to the bucket and climb above forgetting that we left the keys to the room in that bucket itself. But the average one might see into the bucket and open the door. Who knows may be behind the door there could exist a treasure too.

Topper always thinks about the way he sees, as like as he sees that marks will make his life good. But average student sees all the possibilities because he knows the difficulty in scoring so he thinks to create an alternative. All I mean to say is marks won't save you or help you to save money. Your experience, knowledge, and skills will do that. As years pass marks will fade out while the things you learned will stay out with you, to lead your life.

Do learn, Education is a key to skill up!

Do earn, Experience is a teacher in life!!
