Little Gray

It was a hot and summery day. Mother Clara and baby Bria had distanced themselves from the other elephants. It was a time of bonding and growth. Clara wanted to teach her to become independent even at a young age. Furthermore, she understood it was crucial for her development. Gaining the necessary skills to survival in the wild would be her greatest accomplishment she can give to her.

While she walked beside her mother, she noticed several hyenas standing alongside the dirt mountain. One hyena became bold and headed straight toward them. The other hyenas watched closely to see if they were easy prey. Suddenly, Clara waved her trunk and yelled a loud screech. She stood up fiercely and stumped on the ground repeatedly. The dirt formed a huge cloud in the air. A terrified Bria watched and took notes on the entire dilemma. The hyena became frightened and ran away. The others took steps back and disappeared from their view.
