Life From Rags To Riches

"Trung! Trung! Trung! Trung!", came a farmer on his cycle. "Daddy! Daddy!", yelled his children full of happiness.

After some time the farmer's wife gave him some water. His children were always happy when the farmer used to come from his work.

He had an elder daughter and a younger son. His son's name was Naresh and daughters name was Grishma. Naresh was very intelligent but on the other side, his sister Grishma was not at all interested in doing anything.

One day in her area there came a rich family from Mumbai to stay with their grandparents. When the farmer returned from his work he saw that his oldest friend has returned. He was astonished, he ran as fast as he ran as he can and hugged him and asked, "How are you Sanjay? We are meeting after so many years "I'm fine, but how are you" "Are your kids?" asked the farmer. "Yes! Yes! These are my children they are very intelligent but notorious." "Okay, I have to leave everybody is waiting for me. See you tomorrow." "Bye"

When the farmer was going to his way home he was thinking about his daughter's future. When he came home he told his daughter that see that beside's house my friend Sanjay had returned from Mumbai. You know he is a very good engineer. He told me that his girl is the topper of the school. When would you be a topper? And what do you want to be in the future?" "I want to be a heart surgeon.", she answered. "Do you know your younger brother can become a heart surgeon.

Do you even like to do the study?" "But dad I do study." "You study like you are only studying for your parents, not for yourself,  but this is not a way to study, you should do it from your heart do you understand?" listening to this Grishma got angry,  she went in her room and slammed the door. Her mother and her younger brother were shouting, "Grishma, Grishma sister, Grishma " But she didn't open the door. Her father said that leave her alone. After that Naresh went behind his house,  behind there was a window, this was the window of Grishma's room. He took a chair and jumped inside the window. He saw Grishma is crying, he asked her, "what happened? why are you crying?" "This is all because of father, he always keeps on telling me to study more", she answered. "Do you know he is telling for your bright future. I know that you want to be   a heart surgeon but studying with a stressful mind won't help you, you should study when you are in a relaxed mood."

After sometime Naresh gave her a plan "Let's do one thing, from tomorrow our summer vacations are starting." "yes", answered Grishma. "Then we can make our timetable", said Naresh. After making a timetable they slept.

The next morning, when their father entered their room, he saw that both of them were completing their homework so he decided not to disturb them. After completing their homework they went out for playing with their friends and even Sanjay's kids joined to play with them. After playing they had their launch, and they took rest for 1 hour, after they revised the chapters done in the school they asked the question

to each other, after that they spent some time with their parents, before going to bed they used to make things out of waste to show their teachers. This timetable improved Grishma in 1 month.

After 4 years Grishma was studying in standard 10th and Naresh was studying in 8th. Grishma was well improved. She had her board exams coming near so she decided to study hard and score the highest in 10th grade. Naresh was also having his final exam even he studied hard like his sister. The next day she woke up early and revised the questions again and again which she didn't understand, then she packed her bag and had her breakfast and went to school, after giving the exam they were said to go home. When she was going home she saw her younger brother waiting for her. When they were walking Naresh asked, "How was the paper?" "It was easy. How was your exam?", asked Grishma "It was easy!", answered Naresh. After Grishma's boards were finished she got 5 months holiday.

After 5 months her Board's result has come. Her parents were called by the teacher. Grishma was shivering with fear and nervousness. Her teacher was very happy with her percentage, so she decided to joke with them and she said, "Mam! What has your child done!" "Why teacher?", asked Grishma's mother. "She scored 97% out of 100% which is the highest in 10th grade in our school.

Listening to this she got astonished, she didn't believe that she scored the highest. After that, the teacher gave her a trophy and a certificate. After coming home her father was proud of her and told everybody in the area that Grishma got the highest marks.

It has been 10 years, Grishma lives in Canada with her family. She works in the best heart hospital in that city. She is happy and has a very big house for herself and her family. And they lived happily ever after.
