Liberty

Rekha- a young, multifaceted woman who works in TATA company as a general manager. She is a divorcee, having a beautiful face with round blue eyes and black silky hair. She lives in an apartment on the 10th floor near Meera Road, Mumbai. 

It is the time of Diwali around so Rekha is cleaning her house for Diwali. During cleaning her cupboard, She finds an old album of her marriage. She goes to her balcony and stands there she lost in her past.

Rohit and Rekha were studying at Business Administration Institute in Bangalore. She met Rohit first time there. They were classmates and became very good friends after some time. They both were talented and stood first either second in exams. They took notes and solves hard questions together. 

In the flaw of time, they felt some soft corner for each other, and both like each other. On Valentine's Day, Rohit officially proposed Rekha and Rekha accepted him. They spent most of the time together dreaming about their future life. 

After their completion of the study, they both were selected by famous companies TATA and ADANI as general managers in the campus interview. They started their jobs in Mumbai as both can live with each other and meet every day. 

While they were both stable in jobs, they informed their family members about their relationship. Both family members were happy and after six months, they got married. They took leave in their jobs and went to GOA for their honeymoon. There they enjoyed themselves a lot and spent every second losing in each other. They forgot everything except being two bodies, one soul. They both were very happy. 

They live alone in Mumbai, their family members were in different cities so Rekha has to do jobs as well as household works. Rekha did not like to do cooking and cleaning. In starting, Rohit helped her in some works but he also get bored soon. They both have to leave their house for office at 9:00 in the morning and return at 8:00 at night from the office. Even they could not find quality time for each other because sometimes they had to do office projects till midnight. Rohit was much busier than Rekha. He also dreamt to became CEO of the company and worked very hard forgetting that they were a newly married couple. 

Rekha now complained to Rohit for not giving time for their house and also for her. They used to go to parties together but now Rohit went alone without informing Rekha. Rekha remained sad because of Rohit's changing behavior. At one time they both loved each other more than anything else but now they often fought with each other for small things. Love became a subordinate thing. 

Rekha tried hard to save their relationship but Rohit's behavior did not change. Rohit used to come late at night doing parties and spending time with office friends. Rekha did not like that Rohit came late at night and without giving her time slept early. Rohit started to drink also. Rekha fought for that but Rohit kept doing the same thing again and again. 

One night Rohit came home drunk from the party and fought with Rekha. While fighting and arguing, Rohit slapped her. Rekha could bear everything but not beating. She could not tolerate that Rohit could do this. At that moment, she left Rohit and his house. She rented an apartment at Meera road and started her job living alone. In the initial days, she was in grief but after sometimes she came out from sorrow.

After some days, Rohit called her and apologize for that incident and promised her not to do such things again. But Rekha could not forget him. She believed in equality. Both do the same jobs so it was not only her responsibility to take care of the house and Rohit also. Rohit also had to try to save their relationship by caring about her. Why was she alone forced to save their relationship while both were equal parts of it? 

Rekha filed a case against Rohit for slapping her and got a divorce on the basis of exploitation. And she won the case. She forgot Rohit but could not stay with him. 

There are people around us whose mind is that only women do household works and could not speak about their rights. They think that it is their right to beat women and keep women as their slaves. They think of a woman only as a child-producing machine.

Now Rekha is free from Rohit and runs an NGO which protests for women's exploitation. She works for women's rights and for saving girl children also in a male-dominated society. She works for the equality of men and women. She saves the lives of many women. She encourages many women to be independent by earning money from various things of their interests. She also takes interest in educating girl children. She gives funds especially to educate women and being them independent on their own. She encourages women not to tolerate exploitation from men. Be whatever you want to in the open sky because the sky has no limits.
