Journey: From Being Medical Student To Artist

A big neem tree. People are sitting under it. They are talking about politics and having Huka. All are wearing white dhoti and long kurta. Some of them are old, some are middle aged. Sun is making the surroundings warmer. Wind is blowing but it is also warm. There were ladies having shopping bags in one hand and in other hand school bag of their children. Some random kids were roaming here and there. Everything is very lively. A man in check shirt on his motorcycle coming towards the group. His son is also on the back seat of bike. He is around 16 years old looking like any usual guy, normal face, wheatish complexion but with tons of innocence. "Where are you coming from "Shuklaji ?" One of the men from the group asked. Actually, my Mrs. mention in morning that ration is about to end so bring it. I went with Sameer to purchase that only how are you all? He replied. Acha! Acha! an honest teacher and honest husband good that's why our wives always compare us with you. You are the only one who wins. Ha, Ha, Ha. Not at all I am leaving see you all soon. They both left. This is the beauty of small town. People live like a family. However, there is competition among them but still care for each other. This is small town of Uttar Pradesh (Sikanderpur). 

 Now, let us go inside the R.K.Colony only 5 houses are there. A big one with 3 Storey house of Shyamlal clerk at D.M.'s office. One small house of 75 sq ft Vikram, serviceman and many others. In corner of colony there was a house of 150 sq ft. Big Veranda, a narrow gallery to enter in living room and from window of the living room you can easily see the gas stove What is cooking today? What we have in dinner "Susheela"? ,Suklaji asked. A lady drape in blue sari moves out from kitchen with karchi in her hand. She is Susheela 32 years old lady busy in household chores but looks graceful as always. Today, we have Bhindi and roti. Sameerrr, help me out bring all the stuff inside kitchen. Susheela, said. Yes, Mummy. Sameer replied. Sameer is the hero of our story. Ya, the real hero. He is good in studies and caring as his mother. He has 2 sisters elder than him. All siblings fight together, studies together and stays together. Years passes, family is happy. Everyone respects them and all was good with small breakers of life. After, some years when Sameer has his last exam of intermediate. he was confused, he should go to give exam or not because his mother was ill, and doctors already declare that less time left of her. Sameer's sister sends him to school, and he return back after three hours. He has completed his school but not happy as worried for her mother. Susheela was also just waiting for her son. Sameer reaches near her and hug her. She cuddles him that was the last cuddle. Her eyes close forever. Now, children just left with their father. it was hard time, but real struggles of Sameer have to come yet. He suffers from mental stability issues, emotional breakdown because son was connected to his mother, and She is no more with her. His sisters were with him they care for him like a kid. Their constant support he clears his medical exam by becoming an All-India Rank holder. Everyone was happy. Sameer is going to leave his hometown to Delhi for his further studies.

A 21-year-old boy, in front of India's best medical colleges. It was really a moment that can't be describes in words when you move ahead. His new journey started busy with college life, new friends, hostel Masti and all. Things were turning out in the right from but after some time he lost that charm and feels like something is missing. He shares this with his family, but all says that you are going to be doctor in next 2 years what is the worry? This young boy wants to do something different from this. he wants to change the status of his family. He has keen interest in dance that's why he is the part of his college dance club. Participates in many dance competitions and won them. One day of his art teacher says to him you are not made to be here. You should be somewhere else. He shares that he feels restless now a days but forget all at the time of dancing. He says that you should learn more forms of dance. I am recommending you to my teacher. he has a dance academy. You can grow from there. He met him and his life is suddenly change when in their academy a team came to select candidates who can dance in awards functions with big stars of small and big screen. Luckily, he got selected and going to Mumbai for 15 days with ten other boys. Mumbai is city of dreams. Life is so fast there. everyone is running behind something. everyday many eyes with new dreams come and many left with teary eyes and broken dreams. Vada Pau, film city and ocean is famous. Mumbai will accept you or throw you out is unpredictable. Sameer here is just for 15 days to be the part of award show. His dance was so attention seeker that a big director found him. Director wants him to give audition for his advertisement. He agreed but as no prior knowledge he fails and went back to Delhi. Now, he has doing dancing and theater. He was performing and skit. it was getting difficult to manage all three things. One day he called his father and said," I can't do medical. I am very fond of acting. I am leaving my college in between. Obliviously, His father was not happy and give him ultimatum of one year. Get a project in one year or come back to Delhi for studies again. Shuklaji offer was accepted by Sameer. Sameer packed his bag and caught train of Mumbai at midnight.

A boy landed in Mumbai again but this time with dreams of being an actor. He joined a good theater academy. Moving by foot on the streets of film city. He was with other struggling actors. Three months passed like this, but he is getting nothing no offer, no call. As, he has no phone at that time his friend Nitish was getting a call continuously from different number. Nitish attends and call and happy to hear that, Samee's interview was fixed by casting coordinator. He has to go tomorrow to meet Rakesh Gonchar, casting director. Sameer has no idea about it when he returns back after being lethargic. Nitish shared today's incident with him. He got energies don't know how but that whole night he prepares for audition. Next day, he went for audition, and all went well. he got the role of lead's brother. Sameer was happy and excited at same time. God knows only what will going to happen. Next day, Whole cast was present for first shot. Lead character was missing actually he called the director that due to his personal issue. he can't go with the show. He is leaving and returning cheque of advance payment. Director and worried how to arrange lead in short notice. Famous actors were showing tantrums. Sameer was rehearsing with his lines. Director calls him take his script and give him different script. Clarifying that you got wrong script. This is your script prepare that and ready for first shot in next two hours. He was shocked but again busy with is script. After two hours, he was called, and he has to shot. He delivers his lines that naturally that the director impressed with him and promote him for the role of Lead actor. Sameer is going to come on WEE TV every evening, Monday to Friday. Now God has his hand on him. When he first sees himself on screen. This man is literally crying. He has watched this episode many times. Show is doing good, and it was on air for 5 years. During these five years, he attended many parties, glamor and gloss of Mumbai. He was enjoying this new phrase of life. Shuklaji was happy and relaxed that his son has earn his name in metropolitical city. He is now shifted in a new rented house better than before. He got a new friend. Yes, a girlfriend. They both were happy and in relationship, after this show ends and he grab a new show and things were going like this. He has a new car and a 4 BHK flat in Mumbai. Sameer is not going to sit and be happy with just this. He wants to move ahead. What is ahead in his story!!
